Feel like I've achieved a bit tonight
Sorted out a load of the kids toys (charity shop, eBay and to go to grandparents house) so I can begin to think about what they might like/need for Xmas!
Dug out my Xmas notebook from last year with my lists of who to buy for, budgets, what I put in stockings, Xmas eve hamper etc and updated it all for this year.
Feel like I can begin to get more bits now I am focused and can start ticking things off
It did however become apparent that my budget is a lot less than last year so I either need to save a bit more or else get some fantastic bargains!
I have work in the morning (and I can't have a repeat of this mornings fiasco!) so it's brew and bed for me. Night all XxDS 1 born 12/02/2009DS 2 born 30/01/2012Married 07/07/07xx Love my boys xx0 -
Our xmas eve dinner tradition believe it or not is a Maccy Ds :rotfl:people are astonished when me or the kids say that but how it happened is we used to visit the nans on both sides, and my sister and by the time we had done that we were all starving so used to end up popping to macdonalds on the way home so i didnt have to cook, but the best part is, we dont sit inside we sit in the car in the car park :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:cos the kids said years ago we cant change it now its a tradition!Freespirit: The clock was fantastic! Definitely my favourite of the show. I’m looking forward to attempting one. Will have to post a picture up once it’s done nearer Christmas.fevertotell wrote: »Wow you are all very busy in the throws of things...i'm just having a catch up. Been at hospital all day and prodded, scanned and mithered...need yet another operation...i've already had a hysterectomy and a bladder sling put in, in the last year and the sling hasn't worked so need it doing again! gyno didn't want to listen about my lupus (they could be linked) and so i'm fed up, tired and feeling pants./QUOTE]

Nanamia - Yes those cookies are gorgeous! I was already addicted to the ones you buy, and since I found that recipe I can now make them whenever I want them. Which maybe isn't such a good thing, haha.
I am now already beginning to get excited about Christmas and have started gift planning. I have no idea at all what to get OH's mum as usual, any ideas? She's late 50s. I don't like to get people "stuff" that will just end up cluttering the house up, and she's got plenty of "stuff" anyway, and I don't feel like I can get her a thing to do because she hasn't really got time to do it.0 -
Hi I've been lurking for some time, love this thread and you all seem so friendly so thought I would pop out of my comfort zone to say hello,
