Freespirit: The clock was fantastic! Definitely my favourite of the show. I’m looking forward to attempting one. Will have to post a picture up once it’s done nearer Christmas.
Crowdpleaser: I’m not a big turkey fan either. My DM often does turkey and beef so I tend to just have the beef.
Picnmix: Don’t tell me you had a near breakdown, wondering how hard gingerbread houses are now. I’m not the most patient of people sometimes and if things don’t go right when I’m baking I can sometimes easily give up.
Nanamia: Fantastic news about your DH, very pleased for you both.
Looking for some gingerbread people cutters, does anyone know if pound shops may have them? I don’t want to spend too much.Saved: £1566.53/ £20000 -
Wow you are all very busy in the throws of things...i'm just having a catch up. Been at hospital all day and prodded, scanned and mithered...need yet another operation...a bladder sling put in, in the last year and the sling hasn't worked so need it doing again! gyno didn't want to listen about my lupus (they could be linked) and so i'm fed up, tired and feeling pants.
on a lighter note i managed to go to HB and pick up a few bits for my dd pamper basket, a lovely hair brush/comb/alice bands/ ponytail holders/mirror etc for £2.99 and some other bits i know she will like.
so pleased with that.
hopefully i might be back to normal soon...and then proper shopping woohoo!
my book people order has come and what a great deal the winter wonderland set was/is...also brought the spongebob set for ds2 and a bunny book for my niece.
Lego feelers....i'm one of those too...not tried the new ones yet i'll get some next week.
hope you are all feeling well xxDon't tell me this nothing...this is my nothing0 -

Just sitting here updating my gift spreadsheet to incorporate todays Entertainer purchases & got to thinking about Christmas Eve dinner. For us it is all about easy comfort food, as little cooking as possible & watching a movie on tv with dinner on laps in our Pj's so this year I think it will be Maccaroni & cheese ready meals from M&S, this is THE best shoup bought mac & cheese & for us it is comfort food X 100. Maybe a little garlic bread & salad too. Yum, drooling just thinking about it.
So what about you, what is your Christmas eve dinner, do you go all elaborate or are you like us & go for quick & easy?I don't respond to stupid so that's why I am ignoring you.

100 % quick and easy here ! probably a pizza hut delivery a beer and a movie.
Christmas day food is a buffet most of which can be prepared and frozen well in advance , its a very relaxed day for us .This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Lord, my sides ache from the laughs I've had reading this tranche of posts. Also smiled a lot with the good news, esp Nanamia and Feisty frowned and 'aw-ed' at Fevertotell and JuniorJ's issues and felt all warm and gooey at the nice newbies who have de-lurked.
Another visit to another school for DGS tonight,( seems a tad pointless as all the middle-thick kids just get sent to the nearest one, the schools just pick out those who will boost their position in the league tables to take up first choice places.)
Oo-er don't I sound miserable? I'm not, just a realist.
So@ about the 'app' OMO, (what is an app, she wonders ) if it is making life difficult, it is a pain.
Off I go tra-la0
