My oh my what a horrific day in the life of junior_j !!

So I went down for some vision tests but that turned out a no go as 2 minutes in was sick so had to come back to ward! Then had lumbar puncture which was going fine ( under x ray guidance) then suddenly my leg went dead as they hit a nerve and the pain in my head got so bad I freaked out they tried to keep me laying flat as you are meant to for a certain period after Lps how ever I thought I was going to e sick so for some unknown reason freaked out jumped off bed everyone tried stopping me then apparently I passed out they got me back on bed and rushed to ward on oxygen and fluid morphine where I slept for 5 hours! Feeling awful and been sick yet again! Argh! I have never passed out with a lumbar puncture before and I have had countless done! Poor radiologist

In other news order my brother some special jelly beans off eBay as doing him a jelly been bumper hamper! Also order some cellophane!

Also about to order the Santa clause as its a fave Xmas film of mine and want to watch it with youngest goddaughter ( she will be only 8 months ) but I want to anyway lol!

Looking for cheap Roger Waters / Pink Floyd stuff for dad but it all seems very expensive!!

    Anyhow!

I am hardly with it still and struggling to sit upright so a bit of ebaying more morphine then bed for me!

    Hugs to all!

I also need to update iPad iPhone to iOS 7 but not enough room lol

Junior- big hugs for your horrific day yesterday-hoping today will be miles better! I agree-once you're on a a roll with pressie buying its hard to call a halt!

OMO-glad you got your update sorted in the end.

Our Christmas eve tradition carries on from when we used to go to OH parents on Christmas eve for a meal. When they both passed away we filled our night with a big family meal with all the posh plates etc-our time to be alone as a family unit before all the mayhem of Christmas day and Boxing day (which we spend as another Christmas day at Moms). oh usually has T bone steak me and kids usually have fish of some sort- although last year DS had reindeer!! How cruel-and on Christmas eve too!! He said it was gorgeous- Not for me tho-yuk!

Christmas day we have a light breakfast and then my sis and her family come round for an hour or so, then I go and pick mom up cus she has lunch with us, I do the driving on Christmas day so don't have a drink til the evening (its my turn to have a tipple on Boxing day!).
    lovin' this site!

  • Morning all :) all alarms went off this morning so the Hayes household is up and ready for the day lol.

My first day back at work after 3 weeks off to settle oldest DS into school, little bit nervous I will have forgotten all the till codes but hopefully all will be ok!

However it completely pales in comparison to what junior j is going through! And yet you are still thinking bout Xmas and presents for others, what a lovely person you are! Hugs to you, hope things improve soon Xx

Off for a quick browse before the school run. Am intrigued about the posting on Xmas day last year so will have a nosey :)

Hugs and kisses for all feeling poorly.

Gosh you lot can chat, I'm having a job keeping up. I must confess I do love the Christmas chatter.

Yesterday I made some Christmas tree sweet trees and I'm pleased with the results. Done one for each of the men. I'll do the ladies normal sweet trees and then they'll have one of each to share. I have blogged them

Put Xmas cd on in the car so off today to buy a jumper hopefully

Feisty - your shop looks gorgeous . It's the type I love to go in and browse,

Nanamia - wow can't believe your posts , it's so good of you to reply to everyone must take ages

Lol at freespirit - I forget where I seen something and if you seen my desk with bits of paper everywhere

OMO - has ds been fishing yet? You had some good purchases there and it's good that he knows he's had his Xmas present. If I did that with dd at Xmas she'd wonder where her present was and she's 21

  • morning all!

Junior J am so sorry, what an awful day for you! hope you are feeling a little better now *hugs*

MrsHayes I always dread that happening!!! can just imagine the panic - would be the same! as I now work 9-5 on a Sunday I always think I might forget to set the alarm and wake up at 9am or something!!!

Christmas Eve - my DS cooks breakfast to order for all of us and in the evening we have our traditional CE Buffet, when the M&S Christmas food magazine comes out in October we all write down what party food we want and I get it all with the survey vouchers etc I save during the year, usually all kinds of satays, parcels, smoked salmon, prawn and chicken nibbly bits, cocktail sausages, smoked salmon canapes etc. DS and I make a cake, usually chocolate fudge, sprinkle icing sugar on to make snow and add trees, the sleigh and reindeer and Santa and a snowman decoration and that gets served up CE as well. DH and I open a bottle of champagne just as it starts to get dark on Christmas Eve as thats the most magical time for me - Norad Tracks Santa on the Ipad, and Polar Express, Carols From Kings and then either Fred Claus or Arthur Christmas (my DS always ends up in a giggling heap over GrandSanta in Arthur Christmas and sets us all off! if anyone hasnt seen it, hes hilarious!)

Forgot what I came on for in my last post.

Dd applied for a bursary today. It's at the discretion of her school, but fingers crossed.

And I saw a thread about how hundreds of people, who have had loans with Barclays since 2008, may be owed money as they miscalculated the interest.
Am hoping I am one of those people and a cheque is in the post.

OOh where did you see this? I might be in for a windfall too ( very much doubt it though!)
It's not about getting what you want, It's about wanting what you get.

I doubt I am owed anything either, but there's always a small chance.
