  • POPPYGIRL yes i know exactly where you are coming from i view everyone with suspicion lol and you hear these stories about professional beggars, they wont give money just food, but DS said he wolfed it down there was no denying he was starving, but once a homeless person asked for money and DS said he would go get him some food and a drink and he said no

Thanks Kevie – will give it a go then. Thanks also Mandco for the spongebob info.

Freespirit – if karma really works then your DS should reapsome amazing benefits soon. It must beso frustrating for him – I have a degree and don’t really use it but that’s bychoice. Our lovely (but soon to be ex) neighboursboth have degrees - she works in a local deli and he has a masters but works inthe t-mobile shop. So much for graduatesearning more. ‘You know where’ is afranchise though so he may get a completely different reception at the otherbranch – fingers crossed.

Poppygirl – don’t give up on the Range, their homewears arefabulous so I’d definitely recommend an evening visit without the OH.

Talking of the Range – we’re getting one woo hoo! :j Or at least I think we are. I was looking on a jobs website and therewere vacancies for warehouse staff for the Range for a ‘new store’ in MiltonKeynes – haven’t seen any publicity but there is an extension of one of ourexisting shopping complexes going on and I’ve got everything crossed it’s goingto be there.

Off now to update myself against OMO's list :D
It's the most wonderful timeof the year :

My daughter who will be nine in November has just told me that she wants Santa to bring her a new dolls pram. She has a mamas and papas one but the wheels fall off. Just had a look round and the ones that tall enough have really poor reviews. Would love something like the old fashioned silver cross but I don't have a fortune to spend. Anyone got any recommendations or ideas ?

It's not the cheapest but it has good reviews, and its £165 on Amazon.

  • Thanks OMO - I saw that one but some of the reviews are quite negative and the M&P one that she has was expensive but falls apart everytime you sneeze !

Is she too short for a proper buggy ? Would she use a stroller ?

It is £115 but this is a proper baby pram.

  • cymrumam not too sure how you feel about second hand, but there are a few on preloved. Also I'm sure your local facebook/gumtree pages will have them and failing that there is always the car boot sale.

I am honestly shocked at those prices (you can tell we don't have children ;) ) An actual pushchair costs about the same!
