just a quick one my local sains had a few 2014 annuals for just £3
they had angry birds/moshi monster/peppa pig & one direction they were just on the top shelf of the books. not sure if its all stores & if any other titles but worth a lookthis year do something that scares you for courage is not the absence of fear just the knowledge that some things are worth the risk0 -

Everyone commente agreeing with her, I didn't like to ask where it was so I could go to that shop! Does anyone recognise the shelf edges etc? Usually I can work it out but am stuck!0

Morning all :j
The countdown has begun:D:D:D:D:D so excited!
Alja - I hate shopping on a saturday & avoid it at all costs! I know someone who goes to Primark on a saturday, I think she's nuts:rotfl: I love socks, may seem boring but i'd be really happy if someone bought some nice cosy ones for me! Well done on the driving, someone went into the side of me last oct when I was pregnant and it really shook me up.
Kevie192 - You're coasters are fab:)
On my own - What can I say? Thank you obv but that list is very impressive!! Stocking filler reminding is a must for me dd1 is already crammed and I keep seeing more bits but have to put them back dd2 though is more hard (she will be 1!)
caitlyn - Those cakes look amazing! Wow
Niknocks - Hi & welcome - you'll be addicted before you know it :rotfl: Have you looked at local facebook selling for things that are brand new?
Princesskitty29 - It was 99p shop & nothing for kitties as of yet
Fesity - I love those tags, I neeeeed some, are you selling them? Would they look stupid on gifts to family though!?
Msgigglewick - where are the elves from? x
Freespirit66 - Fingers crossed for your ds
And I think i'm caught up!
Does anyone know where I can get some decent absorbent mats from? Seen these in Dobbies & they're nice but a bit pricey & I need two! http://www.amazon.co.uk/Dirt-Trapper-Washable-Door-Mat/dp/B008GOD3DS/ref=pd_sim_kh_2 sorry I know not xmas prep but they are part of my winter prep!
How much should I expect to pay for a onesie for a 7 year old? Seen a hello kitty one for £9 and didnt know how reasonable it is?
Had a fun & busy weekend decluttering, bag to sell, bag to donate & back to chuck. Starting to get there slowly before a big clean/odd little repairs. Please tell me no one else religiously cleans the skirting boards etc as my dh seems to think people do or perhaps im just a bit of a lazy cow lol!
Going to join the school PTA tonight, wondering what im letting myself in for:rotfl:Spreading a little Christmas joy all year round :santa2:0 -

OMO's list has inspired me to do a basic shopping countdown schedule.
Weeks to christmas = 13
Date = 25/09/13
Who? = Oscar
Budget = £15
What? = ????
Additional Shopping = Popcorn for Christmas eve hamper
And so on down to 1 week to go.
Closer to the time the Additional column will have all the food items that need buying bu for now it is christmas eve hamper items for my boy.
This way I can spread the cost abit & start to get really organisedI don't respond to stupid so that's why I am ignoring you.

I'm so glad that I'm not the only one that recognises a shop from the shelf end labels - Thanks Noodles I feel better now, was feeling a little obsessive at that point2014 20p savers club #2 I've given up trying to keep track of how much that pig eats!
2014 £2 savers club #3 - I've no idea, but the pig is beginning to get mighty heavy :eek:

Popped into Home Bargains this morning-they are putting Christmas stock out. Mostly cards and gift bags but its a start!
Must make a note to get my sister to take me to The Range to check out what goodies they have (cant drive at the moment because I have vertigo(!)-very frustrating cus I am one of those get up and go people and I cant! I hate having to rely on someone else:mad:)
I have made my Christmas cakes (3-one for us, one for Mom and one for OH's birthday in Nov)-been giving them a little drink of cherry brandy every 2 weeks so they should be well sloshed by Chrimbo!! Trying to add a little to my asda savings card each week to help. Off to look at OMO's list and see what I am missing in my preparations. I am really in awe of everyones organisational skills and their generosity in sharing with everyone on here:Tlovin' this site!

DS back from interview he isnt happy he went in and she first a bit rudely said why are you here when you have a degree duhhh! Then said why is he applying for a job at a particular branch when he could work a bit nearer home, so he said there werent any vacancies at the other one, anyway she decided yes there was and could he go there for interview tomorrow, waste of petrol, waste of parking money hes definitely not da da da da da im loving it :rotfl::rotfl:he will kill me :rotfl::rotfl:then bless him he came out and there was a homeless man asking for a pound for a cheeseburger everyone was ignoring him or saying no, so my son bought him a meal and a drink (bursting with proudness that although he is skint he still thought of someone else) even the macdonalds worker gave him a dirty look for helping this man
POPPYGIRL ahhhh that picture filled me with glee :xmassmile my first thought was the range like NOODLES but im not sure
NOODLES thankyou re DS, im just as lazy i hoover themi was looking last year for an absorbent mat but they were just too expensive

Ah well if it's The Range then I don't feel I've let myself down, as I usually can tell where it is! Although I have the excuse that Retail Marketing was my job! We've just got a new one, I was there yesterday as I said, nothing like this though!!0
