Getting there Quickly, sympathise totally, but maybe dad needs a reality check, too, if he is determined she isn't going to an adult hostel, maybe he should be doing the researching and sourcing so that brats ingratitude is directed at him not you. (I guess he is doing it with you, but I just wanted to point out that she is his, not your, responsibility). Please don't take this the wrong way, I'm not being critical.
My fave niece has set her wedding date for April 2015, and is wondering what to do as favours, so I'm asking you lovely people if you have any ideas, what did you have, or the nicest one you received?
I only had Baileys once, it was lovely, but I lost the tomorrow from it!
Got my new great niece some lovely clothes in the M&S final sale yesterday, thanks for the heads up they will go away for Christmas, another present sorted. (I get pensioners discount and quidco too, so even cheaper!)
Now, need to make a door curtain for DGS bedroom, alter some others for friends little DGS and re-do a voile for another friend, so coffee first xxxxx
  • Thanks for all of the support. Dad is starting to realise what a little cow she is, 16 year olds can be professional liars and he is now with mum on way forward. He stopped her pocket money a couple of months ago, he had warned her it would happen if her behaviour did not improve, but she didn't learn. Anyway, there is only so much anyone can do for her, she needs to engage and take responsibility for her actions or she will find herself homeless. It is easy for me to do all of the research as I don't have the emotional attachment and he is a good boss, also his mil is in final stages of palliative care which is difficult to deal with for him as he can't be there for his wife the way he would like, not because he can't, but his wife is a twin, so he knows their bond will always be stronger than his bond.

Can't remember who suggested I needed a drink last night, I don't drink so made do with an M&S salad, probably still cheaper than bottle of wine, so MSE :D
A smile costs little but creates much :)
  • morning all!

heeeeere's another one! Next Christmas shop preview is online if you have an account and log in you can view and order 15% off and free delivery, they have some GORGEOUS stuff!

FeistyFidget enjoy your well earned weekend off! lovely isnt it? a real treat - I work 2-10 Saturdays and 9-5 Sundays so I do get to spend Saturday morning and Sunday night with hubby and kids, good news is ive been doing a fair bit of overtime every week so far, doing two evenings next week, only fly in the ointment is Ive split my tax code between both jobs and was emergency tax coded last month on my new job (pray I get it back on Friday now they should have my tax code!) but on my other job obviously the tax code is reduced and they did it on 'cumilative' rather than 'week 1' basis (whatever that means) resulting in half my monthly pay going in tax last week! cue major panic though they have very kindly agreed to re-run it and the tax office were very helpful issuing a new one electronically so fingers crossed I get it back next week!

Getting there quickly - wow what a nightmare for you to have to deal with! hope it gets sorted soon and he gets to sort her out without too much stress for you :-(

OMO argh! inconsiderate parking makes me see Red Mist! why dont people think before they park? Ive had people park across our drive to make or take a phone call in their cars, or nip to post box (we are just off main road so easy for them to pull off) the whole close is flipping empty and they park splat over the drive! when you beep them to move they are all apologetic or suprised ...really!? grrr cubed!!! its even more annoying when you are somebody who always parks considerately yourself!

    Xmas Saver!
    Morning peeps.

It's a lovely washing day here. Not a cloud in the sky and a nice breeze.
All the beds are stripped and re-made. 1 lot of bedding is already dry, 1 is on the line and 1 is in the machine. :D

Just dds duvet to do now. She spilt a drink on it. I am going to throw ds' old trainers in with it. Which will keep him happy.

Not feeling Christmasy at all at the moment. It's too nice out.
I also wasn't overly excited my the M&S site, but we aren't even in September yet, so there's still time.

Didn't get the toilet rolls yesterday I got 2 bottles of clothes softener instead ( half price in Morrison's).

Oh think it'll open soon http://www.tesco.com/christmas/

I'm so excited this year it's my daughters first xmas she'll only be 10 months and my sons 2 years old so trying to get my son all excited
Wishing everyone the best of luck for 2020 ☘️
  • Every year I get excited about the M and S Christmas food catalogue coming out, every year I order a turkey and a ham joint (last year I cheated and ordered veg too BIG MISTAKE), every year I am increasingly disappointed with the size and quality of the meat, every year I say 'I am not getting the food from M and S next year'. So what have I just done? Checked to see if the catalogue is out yet...

This year I WILL buy my meat from the butcher.

I am thinking of buying a cutting machine and have looked at a few but fallen in love with the Silhouette Cameo. Have been looking at the online store to see the different downloads etc and tbh I am drooling. Is it really as good as I am building it up to be in my head?

If anyone can answer that I would be very grateful!

P.S. Am completely new to papercutting so have never done it before!

I have the silhouette cameo and am already considering a black cat cougar BUT mine is (mainly) for business use and find I want it to be able to cut thin foam, thicker card, emboss etc - if you plan to just use it for scrapbooking or paper cuts, then I can highly recommend it :) If you would like to see all that I have managed to make with my cameo then please PM me and I can send you through to my business facebook where you can see all it's capabilities :)
