Will be keen to hear how your girls get on Freespirit - I found that everyone experienced the same kind of sales (poor) at last years lead up to Christmas. I have every thing crossed that your girls will sell out
Have managed to get my shop listings up to 40Have another few to put on too. Have started offering digital downloads of my posters - can't guarantee it will sell, but I feel proactive

Morning, hugs to those in need.
sorry to read you didnt have a good birthday. enjoy your time with your cousins though x
were off to visit the inlaws today. The weather is looking bleak, why can't we have 2 lovely days in a row?
Yesterday was a good day. My DD does Highland dancing, and got all her stamps to move up a group. So we are all proud if how far she has come.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -
Congratulations to your daughter nic

So I am having another attempt at a craft fair in July - can I be a bit cheeky and ask you to have a gander at my shop and advise what you think would sell (ie what would make you part with your hard earned cash). Although I will be taking samples of personalized things along, I obviously can't complete the transaction there. They would need to pay a deposit and me complete at home. I know it's cheeky, but you're all so wonderful with the advice
I did two general fairs (December and Feb) and I barely made my table fee backLots of wasted stock etc

I love all your papercuts. I think having samples of the wedding ones then folk can place a deposit, then some that people can buy there and then. When I did mine at Xmas I was disappointed in how much I took on the night, but looking back I got loads of orders on the day to be personalised and orders since them from repeat customers and their friends .x:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -
Evening, i have had a lovely chilled out day today, wrapped a couple of xmas presents, did a bit of housework, then sat in the sun and read a magazine,
FEISTY aah that was nice of you to say that about DD1 and DD2, well it didnt go very well, they sold 2 doggy hampers, a chocolate slab and some chocolates and sweets, they came home so disappointedthey did get some good feedback but they did overhear a few people say 'oh what a lovely idea, i could make them myself'
and DS had a gift stall as well, with make your own cookie jars, coasters, cards, sunglasses with flowers on, lip balm etc and only sold a few cards
luckily all they had to pay was 10% of what they took so at least they didnt shell out a table fee. I would take most of what is in your shop, obvs some samples that they can order, but cards they can buy there and then and tags, i think they are all gorgeous, i love the candy skull cards esp.

My sweetest darling ds took pity on me this evening and gave me his iPad. This is lovely in itself but from someone with Aspergers it is truly wonderful. I could have kissed him, but didn't as he doesn't like it.
I am off to sync it then bed as I have to be on the road by 8 to get to my family get together. It will be lovely to be able to show them the old pictures I have on my new toy,and not on my phone.
Night all xx0 -

Fiesty - I love your shop!!! Do you do any baby papercuts by any chance?
I agree with Nic, you I think the wedding ones would be good to show examples of and to take orders of, I'd buy that as a gift.
I think the handmade card market is a bit saturated at craft fairs but yours are something a bit different! Difficult to say how well they will sell though, the last fair I did I sold no cards, but lots of other little 'bits'.
Freespirit - sorry to hear that their fair didn't go too well, it's so dissapointing, isn't it? I hope they know that people loved their things, and it's not their fault they didn't sell well. I'd love to see flashes, and what are doggy hampers!?
Hello and hugs to everyone else I've not got to!! x0 -
Morning all. Ds' s Skylander party was a huge success, everyone had a great time. Most popular was the craft table, all the children took home something they had made. Thought I'd share a couple of pics of the cakes I made, I'm very proud of them.
Skylanders portal cake.
Mini portals got the idea for these on Pinterest.
The candy buffet was also very popular but I forgot to take a pic of it all set up. Never mind I'll have to recreate it for dd's party so will take a pic then.Savings Account - £0.00

Hanley gorgeous cakes! Would love to have seen a photo of the craft table all set up - what kind of things did the children make?
Thank you all for the input on my items. I actually remembered I have a few things that I never got round to listing in my store - my birdcages and my chest of drawers so will also be taking those
Poppy I am actually working on some nursery paper cuts at the moment and will eventually do some birth announcements too
Omo bless your son - I recently read a novel where the main character had high functioning Aspergers, I now have a greater understanding of why this gesture meant so much to you xxx[/COLOR]2024 Challenges
