OMO - I am exactly the same, the amount of food i still have left or untouched, and i felt like i had really cut down, i am going to have to be really tough next year (the stupid thing is i buy lots of snacks in case anyone turns up, but there is a cat in hells chance anyone will) it is ridiculous and i am really mad with myself

:rotfl: That made me laugh out loud. I buy stuff 'just in case' IN CASE OF WHAT :rotfl:
Nobody ever comes here either. Dad came last Sunday and ate ONE mince pie, and a friend popped in today and didn't even want a cup of tea.:eek:

at last I can join in - I have been to the sales:j i was very disappointed, there was hardly anything and nothing that said buy me. I saw no gift sets (apart from Boots and i am waiting for the 75% sale) and didn't even see any wrapping paper in mr T.

I got some wrapping paper and cards from card factory. I paid £1 for 6 rolls which I thought was good but not as good as 50p. i also bought 2 Dr Who books for the boys (birthday or Christmas)

I have decided to get yankee candles and accessories for my mum and MIL for christmas so am on the hunt for them. if anyone sees any good reductions please let me know

I am going to make movie hamper for my godson (will be 4 next Christmas) and cousin's daughter (6 next year). There is a peter pan book mentioned on the grabbit board so will try and get that nd get the dvd when disney have their 241 offer

nanamia I hope your DSIL is feeling better

  • Good evening all,

Gosh this thread does move quickly, I have recently come out of lurking, I hope to keep up but please bare with me.

I have had a look at the fitbit it looks really good, I have added it to my amazon eish list. I always seem to struggle for ideas when dh and parnets ask what I would like for birthday and christmas so that will be top of list.

I popped to town yesterday, got some cards and a few stockig gift but no wrapping paper, I am sure I have enough left over but I do like to stock up.

I have just loaded the flylady app to my new tablet so hoping I will be able to keep on top of housework etc with the remimders. Took tree down today, got to update card llist then the cards can go into the kids christmas craft box. I alway take the tree down 4 or 5 days after as its daughters birthday on the 3rd so like to have christmas put away ready for birthday bits, then its sons birtday on the 25th, its busy busy busy!!

Have a good evening everybody, hopefull check in tomorrow

They were indeed! I've not bought any yet am thinking I might do and make some little Lushie Hampers up we know a couple of people who have had abit of a rough time of it lately and I think it will cheer them up and look great too, might think about doing some as gifts to sell maybe just to you lovelies though

I would go get the baskets if you want them. Things just disappear in that shop. I always buy stuff now when I first see it, as they are never there when I go back. :)
