The girls at work think I'm mad to do this as well as the usual Christmas lunch.
I love planning a meal, cooking it and making sure all the extra's are there.:j
I love a nice water jug and glasses on the table. Not sure why as we all have grape juice:rotfl:
The only bit I don't like is the shopping but my OH does a sterling job;)
Just a well my lists are so good.. They are organised into fresh, tinned, spices/ flavourings, butcher, bakery etc. He says it helps:D
I've just read this and the last post back and I can see why people think I have a problem:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Oh well.......It keeps me happy :D:D:D:D

Nothing wrong with being organised and planning well in advance.
The ones with the problem are the poor 'headless chickens' racing round on Christmas eve trying to find last minute things while you're enjoying your meal...:rotfl:

nitnurse, you have just given me a festive tingle (ooo er, sounds a bit carry on innuendo-esque!) I am in awe of your organisational skills and you have just inspired me to look at my spreadsheets for gifts this year :)

I am pleased to report that only one person has nothing bought for their birthday (in October) and I have one person I need to crochet for (December). So I 'may' have to look into learning crochet so I can actually start that ;) I am moving steadily along on the Christmas front too :) Most of what is left is bits that need to be made/baked.

    I managed to achieve a lot today, but sadly not list any new items (did finish a few though) I am pleased to announce that I managed to re-plant/decorate my balcony for the grand total of £5.68 - That includes the following;
    • 40 Litres organic compost
    • Long Planter for Salad Leaf Assortment
    • Blackberry Plant
    • Chilli Seeds
    • Chive Garlic Seeds
    • Asian Salad Leave Assortment
    • Corriander Seeds
    • Red Basil Seeds
    • Mustard Leaf Seeds
    • Pansy Seeds

I am very chuffed with my budgeting :) Had a lovely surprise when I made my way out onto the balcony for the first proper root around this year; My strawberry plant died, but a new ones have cropped up and my rosemary plant is not only thriving but in full bloom :) I also managed to rescue a sage plant. I have a really long balcony, but sadly it is stupidly narrow (hence why we have Chihuahua's and not a larger breed) but it is nice to have a little bit of outside space - who knows maybe this year it will actually be warm enough to use!

    I fell in love with these in the 99p store earlier;
    $T2eC16VHJF0E9nmFRpH,BRRbJ2Wj!Q~~60_12.JPG
and picked up 2! I couldn't believe they were in there as looked much better quality than usual mugs - the tag is a bit cheap looking, but can easily be removed and swapped for a fancy one ;) I couldn't be bothered to photograph my one so had a look on ebay, what do you know - people are charging a lot more than 99p for it and people are bidding ;) Have put one away for Christmas and am tempted to keep the other one :)

Nanamia - those cakes are fab!
Still feeling bit low and had a good boo just now. Whoever said dogs don't understand should have seen my collie come up and put a paw on each shoulder and cuddle me.
Now she's lying close by - love her

    Evening everyone,
I have felt so miserable and low today :( dont know why, my DD1 felt like that too, we wanted to do something but CBA, we did end up taking dog for a walk and sat in pub garden for a quick lemonade but it was flipping freezing. Made another Lemon Drizzle cake because there was leftover lemons to be used :) hope everyone else has had a good day.
BUNBUN thankyou, hope you are ok

I grew lettuce in a length of guttering attached to my garden wall last year.:D
It was great for those that you sow continuously. I did it in half with 2 week intervals which kept me and OH going all summer.
You may be able to attach some guttering to a wall or put it on top of a fence/ wall on your balcony. :D

Hiya Bunbun we've missed you and you Ruth Honey out of lurkdome you come :)
Nitnurse oooooh you've reignited my Christmas spirit, more more more please and just maybe a little of your organisation skills might rub off onto me :)
Betsie my lovely it makes me sad that you are so low:( try and pop in often I find these lovelies a great comfort when things are tough :) and these smiles are contagious xxx
Freespirit go girl :) or Mrs Hallmark (we may have to start calling you) I'm sorry you've had a CBA day today, hope tomorrow will be better for you and DD :) Probably cos you've had such a nice few days with DS, today felt a bit empty:(
Feisty You've had a very productive day haven't you :) I leave charge of our garden to DH - which explains why it looks like Steptoes yard:( oh he's dreadful. So may things he's hoarded, can't bear to fling etc, unfinished projects and blooming trees, he keep buying trees!!! Who knows why.
Jakesbakescakes ooooh woo hooo go you:) well done. Are you finding it easy to stick to the plan? I'm a bit worried how easy I'm finding it, can't be right can it? (Scared to say it in case it hits me tomorrow) Im loosing slow but steady :) been using DN cross trainer a couple of times over the last few weeks to try and shift myself. Time will tell, but I'm hopeless I get obsessed with things and then go right off them so who knows how long it'll last?
Today was DHs birthday and bless him he took me to pick up the cross trainer and exercise bike we'd bought on eBay :) It was from Blackpool so we had a nice trip out too. I've no excuse now, DD has the bike at hers and the plan is to swap every few weeks. See how it goes. It was lovely at the seaside the sea was wild, waves crashing and splashing over the sea wall- I love it like that:) So I've thoroughly enjoyed DH day :) spoilt as I am.
Thanks lovelies for the kind words about the cakes xxx
