Hi all
Just popped on to say I am out of hospital and back at home finally. Thank you so much for all your good wishes. I am not able to do anything so I am laid on the sofa and have rediscovered my love of eBay and have been indulging in a bit of retail therapy to cheer me up.
Nanamia - The cakes are lovely. I have pm'd you. Xx
Pink steps - The dog is gorgeous.Aims for 2014
Drink a glass of water a day, Empty handbag at least once a week, Continue "not putting things off" and tackle things head on, Treasure people around me, Stay healthy and well away from hospitals, Continue to declutter/decorate house slowly and not get stressed because I can't do everything at once.0 -

Thank you, Teddy is gorgeous but is at that nipping stage and I wish she'd learn it's a no go. Everything else she is picking up quick, basic commands. I'm just worried she's going to hurt someone.0

Pink the only thing that worked for us in curing nipping was to yelp really loud (poor neighbors) and hold our hand (or whatever had been nipped) against us like it was injured. Sulk at her for a minute or two by turning your back and not interacting. It was exhausting but effective.
I have decided on making some sugar scrub as gifts this year, does anyone know how far in advance I can make it?[/COLOR]2024 Challenges

BBTHREE OH will be able to train at Durham University. what we needs to find out is if we will get a contribution towards our accommodation or if we will have to move. if we have to move we will need next year to get the house ready! after the training we will ask to stay in Durham as ds1 will be at 6th form and ds2 will be 15. this is all ifs and buts as OH has to get on the course first!!
feisty the Christmas planner is fab

Hi all,
As I have had the weekend to myself I thought I would finalise my menu for Christmas Eve. :j
It has been tradition over the last 23 years that I have my parents over to stay on Christmas Eve. I used to take the kids to the Christingle service when they were little then get them to bed around 8pm and we adults would have a “posh” supper!:D
As the kids are all adults now, I found sending them to bed at 8pm no longer worked.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Therefore they also join us for supper.
My menu is taking shape and this is what I have decided on:
Starter
Chicken tarragon and mushroom terrine, served on mixed leaves accompanied by home made rustic bread.
Main
Pork tenderloin stuffed with apricots, served with asparagus and minted potatoes
Dessert
Yet to decide!!
I have a spreadsheet where I record all the ingredients I need for the recipes and add to it as required. That way I know, for example, how many oz butter is going to be needed over the three courses.
It also means I know whether I need to buy more herbs/ spices etc rather than sending OH out on an emergency mission.;)
The spreadsheet also contains a list of which serving dish I will use and what place settings I will use including table cloth, runner, chargers, napkins, napkin rings, candles, flowers..................
Ooh! So excited and its still a long way off.:D:D:D:D:D
Happy planning all.
xxStart by doing what's necessary, then do what's possible and suddenly you are doing the impossible:j
Christmas is not a time but a state of mind :xmassmile
Trying.....Very trying- as my DH would say
Loving de-cluttering0
