Hi all. I'm after a little bit of advice. It's dh's grandad's 80th birthday this weekend and we have bought him 2 whiskey glasses and had them engraved. The problem is the glasses didn't come in a box and I'm not sure how to wrap them. Does anyone know of anywhere I could find a nice basket/box that I could put them in, maybe with some tissue paper. I also wanted to get a nice bottle of whiskey to go with them but I'm not a whiskey drinker and have no idea which are the best ones. Any help will be much appreciated.Savings Account - £0.00

Happy Birthday Ameyturtle and Jozy! xxx
Im not sure if Ill have time to go to the dentists tomorrow as I need to post 11 parcels and OH has work at 2 (needs to leave at 1.30) and we're not the best at getting out of the door quickly lol so dont think Ill fit it in. Think Ill have to call and try and get an early appointment on Saturday, we're not leaving until 11am ish so hopefully they'll have something before then. Ive done half the packing and will try to finish it tonight as we're normally rushing around shoving things in the car at the last minute!'They only had one cow!'0 -

Not sure on sizes but there are some plainer ones there if DH's Grandad isn't a fan of flowers! As for whisky, my OH loves Glenfiddich, the older the better, unfortunately the older the pricier!Hobnobs are like marines0 -

Thanks. Those boxes are great, just what I'm looking for. :TTrendyjenny wrote: »Whiskey can be expensive if it a single malt (the best) .

Thanks. I know my brother likes Jack Daniels so that may be a good one to go for. I asked my MIL what was best to get (it's her dad) and she just said "whiskey is whiskey!" But I know that's probably not the case for someone who is a whiskey drinker! :rotfl:Savings Account - £0.00

mrsinvisible I know what you mean about the care home! But sounds better than most doesn't it? How wonderful that he hung onto his independence into his 90s but sad that it was suddenly snatched
How is he coping? Bless him.

Thanks for the best wishes for my friend, she is so brave well she doesn't think so- as she says she's really got no option. She hasn't really an option facing the treatment but her attitude makes a huge difference not only to her but to those close to her too. Another superstar
I'd like to report a good day todayI've been really quite motivated:T well done me. Done lots of little jobs that I've been avoiding, finished the odd jobs that needed doing on the sewing machine so that it can go back to my BFF (another space cleared) Washed the inside of all my windows as window cleaner had been Wednesday:) sparkling. Then to the hospital with friend and had quite a giggle and a good chat. And this evening visited DD so an hour with DGD
She's spending daylight hours at ours for the next two days whilst having flooring fitted so will she snooze in her new room??? Who knows
Has anybody heard from pinksteps? I'm really getting quite worried about LinkyAny ideas xxx

Hanley, the card factory has wonderful boxes that are quite economical
OMO where are you?
Nana, your friend is so flipping amazing! So many would have just given up, but she sounds like such a trooper.
Sorry for anyone I may have missed, not feeling too great at the moment so concentration is a little lax. Hope you all have a lovely weekend[/COLOR]2024 Challenges

Hello - just wanted to check in quickly with you all and say I'm lurking but apologies for not keeping up, I don't get on every day so don't want to reply to some people and miss others!
Just to let you know I'm thinking of you all and I'm about!
