Oh that's so annoying moneysavingmumofone aargh it has happened to me too:( fingers crossed your second chance offer still wants the item and that'll be soon sorted. Yeh
for your brother, bless him. With the doggy upset earlier in the week I forgot to comment on DSs cake! If I was making a cake for Monday I would bake it Friday, let it cool and settle (they are best not sliced for at least 12hrs) slice and fill then buttercream Saturday and ice Sunday - that way you aren't dashing round panicking and not enjoying doing it! ( I should listen to my own advice sometimes:)
I'm still unsure what to do about craft things for Sunday and the clock is ticking. I will decide in the morning!
Feisty hope you are feeling better, you are very hard on yourself with your fab makes! I love them too
I've no magic tips either about insomnia, I too am a sufferer, my counsellor told me to stay in bed but I always feel it's such a waste of time and end up going downstairs and doing something.
Drops of Jupiter I'm never happier than when I'm worrying ha, I do hope you find a solution soon tho xxx
Freespirit Yes indeed DSiL and my friends and of course you lot have been a tremendous help this weekthank you all xxx
Tomorrow is finishing touches to DGDs room and DDay will she or will she not a) sleep in her new room (instead of in bed with me) and b) stay in her bed (cos she's used to a cot) well this time tomorrow I will knowxxx
No dashing about tomorrow quite looking forward to pottering and getting that room finished nigh night xxx
Linky we miss you, hope you are ok and not stuck in that tree againxxx
The secret of Christmas
It's not the things you do at Christmastime
But the Christmas things you do
All year through0 -
Omg, I haven't been on here much this year (if at all) I'm very sorry, haven't been myself at all. But I decided to come and have a scroll through tonight and try and come out of lurkdom again, and what do I find?
You wonderful people posted messages last month, wishing me a happy birthday! I can't believe how thoughtful you all are, even though I wasn't here, I was thought of. I'm bubbling here!
Strangers on my pc care for me more than a lot of people do lol, thank you all so much.
I will try and stay out of lurkdom this time :-)
On the Christmas front, nothing - I haven't even bought an Easter egg yet :-o

morning all, frosty fresh looking day. Sorry for all fellow insomniacs, I have stopped worrying about it, or trying to summon the sleep fairy, I just lay there (as long as it isnt the pain that hs woken me) and count my blessings, you know, that I dont have to get up an scrub a floor, or iron, or blacklead the grate, and enjoy the silence. Of course I'm very lucky that as I am retired I can take an easy day if I wish.
Some more plants delivered yesterday, and some of the nasturtiums have germinated, so a nice greenhouse morning beckons, and as it is traditional to plant your potatos for a good crop today, DGS and I will put some in patio bags, then I have handed the tradition on to a second generation. (daft, I know, but it makes me feel so close to my late dad,) hope it is agood day for us all xx0 -
Morning all meant to post yesterday but the migraine witch struck on Wednesday and I ended up doing a 12-4 shift yesterday migraine and all, however it has given me a chance to tryt he new pills that the doctor gave me, they don't cure it but they get rid of the symptoms, ie light sensitivity, eye pain, nausea that sort of things and they literally melt on your tongue and taste kind of like eating a sweetener, they are magic.
OMO good news we now have a B&M too am off to have a look today!
Am making cornflake cakes for the folks at work and they have a caramel bunny each at 4 for £1 I couldn't say no and I've got cornflakes and chocolate that need using up like you wouldn't believe.

Thankyou for the cake advice Nanamia.
Your DGD will be so excited to see her new room! My DS still sleeps in with his Nan when he stays over though lol, (poor Grandad gets kicked out to the spare room!) even though there are two spare bedrooms so you might still have a wriggly bum in with you lol!
