Dropsofjupiter wooo hooo exciting times ahead :) well done x

Freespirit arghh annoying isn't it! In my head I'm still 21 why has my body forgotten? I don't exercise either (in fact it's a swear word in my book!) never have been sporty etc. something's going to have to change I've just not decided what yet. There's little point me sticking to this new healthier me without moving a little I know:(

Noodles I really hope I didn't offend earlier with my post, I'm just not very ladylike or domesticated. I imagine WI members to be domestic goddesses:) x

Poor you Linky :( hope you start feeling better very very soooooon xxx

Oh no, not at all :) I really like our WI and I am far from a domestic goddess or ladylike for that matter! I more meant it as a kind of 'dont ever rule yourself out' of anything just because you might think you wont fit in, hope that didnt come across as patronising! It's meant to be friendly!!!

Just popped on to say that my dad was due home yesterday but was too poorly to be moved and passed away at 5am this morning. So from diagnosis until the end was 20 days. He is out of pain now and slipped away in his sleep.

Hey Pinksteps. I am really sorry for your loss. Sending you the biggest possible hugs.

    Hey OMO,
Oh nooooo. 600 cal diet can't be good. You are right to want a second opinion.
I saw that you have seen your own doctor too now. Good luck

    Hello everyone.
Will go and see her and make sure she agrees with the doctor I saw today. Not sure about the 600 cal diet being good for me. Especially as my thyroid is iffy.
I would feel better if I could just wake up. I go to bed tired and get up tired. I then spend all day tired.:(

    Hey FeistyFidget-
A lot of my twitter followers are mothers and people interested in food. Please send me two post links with nice pictures of food or your makes and I will tweet them. Do it via the contact me page on my blog. Every little helps right?
    Good luck

    !
Had someone contact me desperate to ship out two necklaces with guaranteed delivery for Saturday. I usually take at least a day per item, but luckily had one already made and agreed to do it. I used the Royal Mail website to calculate the costs, but annoyingly it didn't tell me that they charge an additional £3 per item for next day delivery on a Saturday. Has pretty much wiped out any profit that I had. Hopefully the Mothers will enjoy their presents though :)

    Nanamia,
wow. what an amazing cake- I would love to be able to do that but i am not that sort of creative. I am coming round to yours on my birthday, even if I am not invited:D
And congrats on the weight loss. I have given up on diets with all the cooking I am now doing...

I have got together with a group of bloggers to try and host a big'ish giveaway on my blog. I need some help with the prize idea.

The idea is this- we host the giveaway (for something people really want) - and people enter the giveaway by connecting with us via facebook, twitter, pinterest, email etc. So we grow followers and a few people get the chance to win some great prizes.

Since I am a food blogger I am keen for the prize(s) to be food related. They could be something like a Kitchen aid mixer see below or a set of le Creuset cooking pots etc

So my question is this -what sort of prizes(preferably food but also other) would make you guys enter a contest by signing up to become new followers of a blog?
  • Hi all, I haven't been on here in a while, not sure why - just life taking over! I've got lots to catch up on so apologies if I don't comment on something important just yet, I felt I needed to post before catching up otherwise i'll never post! I'm quite stressed at the moment, my company was taken over by another company last week and it has been all change. My two bosses left on Thursday and I ended up crying in the office! A bit embarassing... It wasn't just them leaving though, it was because it represented the change and of things to come. We're all still waiting to hear what is going to happen to us but I predict redundancy in a few months time. It's very sad as I worked for a fantastic company with fantastic people and I never dreaded coming into work. The new company isn't bad but they're not going to keep our office in the long run so we'll all be going at some point.

On top of that i'm also majorly stressed about my wedding in 2 1/2 weeks time! Today I really can't think straight and i've got lists coming out of everywhere! In an effort to be MSE I decided to do my own flowers and cake but now i'm constantly worried that they're going to be rubbish and i've put a lot of pressure on myself! :(

Sorry to rant and I know my problems aren't really that bad in the scheme of things, but i'm having a bit of a melt down today and didn't know where to turn.....

I know this is for drink and not food but it would make a nice prize. And at half price a bargain as well.

Tassimo T40 multi beverage machine £59 at Sainsburys.

Well I seem to be getting worse not better. I now have sores inside my mouth as well as out. My top lip is bright red (very attractive- NOT :rotfl:). And just to top it off I have started coughing.:(

I really wanted to get to Sainsburys today to get some Easter Eggs, but I don't think I can be bothered.

So sorry to hear that you are getting stressed.

Have you thought about M&S for your cake. Although not totally MSE, if you buy each tier individually it is a lot cheaper than buying a made wedding cake. You would just need to decorate it.
