Happy birthday moneysavingmumofone! Sorry to hear some of you are ill and have troublesome pets.

Feisty - I'm so glad people have clarified your actual savings target, I too was wondering how you were going to make £17k in 6 months - slightly jealously I must admit! :)

Saying that has made me look at my own signature. I had an offer accepted on a house at the weekend, and had a phone call this evening to advise the people from whom we are purchasing are putting in an offer on a house tomorrow - things are moving a little faster than anticipated! Somehow, don't think my 27lb target is attainable anymore.

HANLEY wow you are brave stitching 30 invites, she is very lucky bride, that is a lot of time and devotion good luck

Well i had an appointment with the nurse tonight, i have been dreading it all day, getting myself worked up, but kept telling myself it has to be done, it was one of these clinics they invite you in, i had to have blood taken to check cholesterol, kidneys function and sugars, weight and height, waist measurement and blood pressure, although i am at risk for high blood pressure, its always been ok, but tonight it had shot up  so now i have got to go back thursday for another reading and contact my doctor to see if she wants to see me sooner grrr you know when you just get that feeling, i have had it all day that something would show up, but i am more mad at myself for letting me get so big, no walking/exercise etc etc so i am really going to have to make more of an effort, was bound to happen now i am back into my baking :rotfl:

Dropsofjupiter wooo hooo exciting times ahead :) well done x

Freespirit arghh annoying isn't it! In my head I'm still 21 why has my body forgotten? I don't exercise either (in fact it's a swear word in my book!) never have been sporty etc. something's going to have to change I've just not decided what yet. There's little point me sticking to this new healthier me without moving a little I know:(

Noodles I really hope I didn't offend earlier with my post, I'm just not very ladylike or domesticated. I imagine WI members to be domestic goddesses:) x

Poor you Linky :( hope you start feeling better very very soooooon xxx

dropsofjupiter, how exciting! I didnt want to add any of the capital from our current flat sale (lucky to make enough to cover legal fees for next move/stamp duty) but the target is moving so slowly I think we may have to :(

Congratulations dropsofjupiter. Very exciting time buying your first house.

Don't feel down feisty you'll get there. Your makes are amazing and I can see business booming for you soon. You'll hit that target no problem. :)

Not sure if anyone has seen Martin's email but the HMV 2 for 1 sale is starting Friday in selected stores. Blue cross items only. It may be helpful for those of us planning dvd presents for Christmas. :)
