  • Hello all, I have been absent for weeks so much gone wrong for us lately but not going to bring everyone down on here which is why I stayed away. Busy trying to launch my holistic therapy business but so far I'm really struggling, I know these things take time but with everything else we really really have to decide if this is worth the struggle.
I very much doubt I will catch up on everything but I am so going to try. In the meantime, very big hugs to all that need them xx

  • Morning, oh how I've missed saying that to you all. It's a lovely day out there today, DS said its the perfect weather to take a dog out for a walk but what a pity we don't have one! I tell you, he is about as subtle as me. We both very much want one but it's finding the right one.
Decided to spend the morning steam cleaning my floors and windows and the afternoon sorting through our craft stash. I hope to have a very home made christmas this year. Hopefully DS can make something for my mum for mothers day too, even if it's just paper flowers on the big shot.

I gave up trying to catch up with all last night but hugs are there for everyone and encouragement with families, diets and finances etc

Pinknfluffy we've missed you:( I was presuming you were way to busy making your first million to pop on! You know we are always here for a chat whatever your mood/circumstances. You were so positive about your new venture I'm so sorry it's off to a slow start:( It will be a very tough decision

Pinksteps my lovely good luck with your "spring cleaning" wishing you well and sending hugs :) You are in our thoughts. xxx A homemade Christmas sounds wonderful, don't forget to share if you have a brain wave! I bought my first little gift on Friday -a reduced fairy money box thingie in tesco- cute tho. Must try harder :)

Playgroups this morning with DGD2 was good fun, and got to catch up with my lovely neighbour too. Going to have a siesta today as didn't sleep much last night then popping out to see DSiL :) Hope the sun is shining wherever you are too xxx

*waves* hi all! hope everybody is ok, sorry Ive been MIA, few computer issues, work issues etc and a few worries to sort out - will try and catch up shortly!

Been doing a few Christmassy bits, I did some work I got paid in Amazon vouchers for, which is brilliant, I have £70 towards Christmas in there now! after buying a couple of stocking fillers I spotted for DS, I managed to get 3 little gift sets from Body Shop in the current deal of 40% off and free p+p, and also managed to get a good deal on the electronic Monopoly my DS so wanted this Christmas, just need to find somewhere to put it now! bought all my easter eggs in the tesco b2G2F thing last weekend, trying to hide those where little noses wont go!

Going to try and catch up, may be some time!

Nanamia I hope you had a safe journey back and you are doing ok xxx
  • Hi Snugglebunny! :j That reminds me I went to Tesco to get that deal yesterday thinking it ended on the 5th but must have been the 3rd doh! Im trying to resist temptation with the BodyShop deal but those little Cupcake sets are really cute..

Pinksteps thinking about you all. I can't praise highly enough the help and support from the Macmillan team. They really are angels :) I'm dread to think where I'd have been without them when DH was at his worst (I've brought him home from hospital twice now- after being told there was no hope for him and that we'd work together to make him comfortable!) Thankfully almost eight years on he's still with me :) xxx

Pinksteps I just wanted to second this, the MacMillan angels were just wonderful with my beloved late FIL, his was kidney and it too spread widely with little or no symptoms until the end, they are just wonderful people - the ones who helped him so much came to his funeral and bought flowers, if I ever win the lottery they will be my first recipient :)

thinking of you all, we are here if there is any way we can help or just listen, lots of love xxxxx

Nanamia - my best friend's dad passed peacefully away last week in his 80's, shes 48 and when she was 8 they were told there was nothing they could do to help him ... he lasted another 40 years!! :)

We have my uncles funeral this Thursday. He started with lung cancer and sadly it spread to the whole of his body. It was supposed to be his 60th this year, but we celebrated it last year as we knew he wouldn't make it. The saddest thing I have ever witnessed is watching him dance with his daughter and knowing that everyone was thinking the same thing - would this be the last time they ever saw him :( my auntie said the Macmillan nurses were a god send - absolute angels.

Moneysavingmumofone yay for gearing up to make GP and dentist appointment :) we are all very proud!

My carnivore husband has just got in and told me he is going on a high juice diet. My mouth hit the floor! He said he's fed up of feeling poorly all the time and wants to try and do something about it! My only worry now though is managing this drastic diet change along with his (pre existing) heart conditions and sensitive medications. Don't suppose anyone can recommend a juicer? X
