  • FeistyFidget-Thanks. xx I truly hope you are blessed with a baby soon. xx

freespirit66-We sound very similar lol, well done on making your way there. I keep saying Ill make the appointment 'tomorrow' then Im so tired after a sleepless night of tooth pain that I just dont have the mental energy. :/

Thankyou bunbun. xx Hope your DS is ok and the specialist can help him. xx

Didnt get many bargains in HB today, was a bit disappointing after taking ages to get there after rather predictably getting lost! Did manage to get some name pens for 19p each though, got some for Postpals children and one for my niece to go with the 19p name notebook I got last month. :) Lovely little extra birthday present for 38p altogether! Also got my brother a Stickmen book for Christmas.
I did get lots of stationery bargains for my DS for his birthday in Asda, he loves staplers, string, sellotape, paper clips, sticky notes etc and Asda had lots of things reduced so got him a roll of sticky notes, some clips, string, geometry set, stencils, highlighters, twisty crayons and loads of other bits. Going to get a nice box to put it in and hopefully the sellotape and string wont all go walkies now. :D I got some of the stationery and some notepads for charity shoeboxes too. They had a few toy bargains too, got an Everythings Rosie playset for £1.50, Minnie mouse squinkie sets for £2.10 and a HotWheels truck for £2. Also worth a look is the mens toiletry aisle as we got Gillette moisturiser for £1, Wilkinson Sword aftershave balm 50p and Lynx shampoo (green deep cleanse one) for 50p and there was a space where 50p Gillette deodorants had been, could be good for mens xmas presents/stocking fillers!

Has everyone seen the Now Tv free trial offer? You get 2 free Cineworld tickets. :) Offer ends at midnight tonight. http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/shopping/watch-movies-online-cheap?utm_source=MSE_Newsletter&utm_medium=Email&utm_term=26-Feb-13&utm_campaign=shopping&utm_content=107

Have just ordered DS' bike thanks to a grabbit, after using a 10% off code it was only £44.09 compared to the cheapest I could find elsewhere. (£54 from Tesco. £60 then I had a £6 off £40 spend voucher) So pleased that that's bought and my ebay funds just about covered it so even better!

MONEYSAVINGMUMOFONE oh dear, are you still in pain with your teeth, cant something be done about it? That must be getting you down after all this time as well, thanks for the tip on the mens stocking fillers

BUNBUN thankyou, hope you had a lovely holiday, that is part of the reason i hate ebay, people just take the ****! And before you know it someone leaves negative feedback, out of spite, i have quite a lot to go on there but i just keep putting it off. Hope you DS gets treatment he needs soon

Its so quiet on this thread at the moment, hope everyone is ok and are just busy with life.

Big hugs to everyone that needs them, never be afraid to ask for help :)

Have managed to be vegetarian since Wednesday, we even went out for a meal yesterday (huge treat as we never go out) and I still stuck to my guns - I'm not a huge carnivore, so it isn't really a big problem. I am however struggling with vegan :( I have strength ethics about vegetarianism for ethics being crap as dairy farming is just as cruel, so feel like a bit of a failure right now :( I am trying to cut down on my dairy consumption and will eventually cut it out completely. Then I have to go wheat, sugar and processed food free! Not going to leave me with much to eat, but hopefully it will be worth it in the end.

Have manged to get all of my orders for last week completed this morning, will do final paperwork this evening and then tomorrow I plan to be very lazy and just do a tiny bit of advertising based work :)

  • Omg Feisty, what will you live on? You need the goodness from dairy products and meat and wheat. Cutting out the processed crap is good tho. Hope all these sacrifices will be worth it for you. Good luck.
Been meaning to ask you if that frame from matalan was any good for your name thing?

I'm going the other way Feisty - been vegetarian all my life and now gradually introducing fish and a tiny bit of red meat. Partly because I've been cutting right back on carbs as they make me feel so sluggish and I'm trying to keep weight off my tummy, and partly because there's now much greater quality/organic produce available, even if it does come at a cost. Also, having travelled in America numerous times as a veggie, I'm looking forward to being able to at least have seafood this time, rather than another half of iceberg lettuce drowned in ranch dressing, or worse yet another 'garden' burger!

Been prepping for my nephew's birthday party - 3 this week! It's a Toy Story theme and I'm doing big cake, little cakes and cake pops. Also done a few props for a mini photo booth - big etch a sketch frame etc. Can't wait, though think I might be up late tonight!

Got SO much to fit in before finishing work on Thursday! Got everything sorted for wedding, had to sort our service out the other night, and between cutting out all of the lovey-dovey American nonsense and all the religious options, I think our ceremony should last all of three minutes!!! Think I've decided on a dress too - have finally sent back the other 5 I had! Biggest battle at the moment is trying to convince people we really mean that we don't want gifts or money and that we'd feel really uncomfortable accepting either. OH is despairing but I'm just getting very grumpy! How come it is acceptable to say exactly what you want (if it's a toaster) but if you don't want anything, no-one listens?! People keep asking me what I would do if someone insisted no gifts/money and I keep saying the same thing - I would either keep an eye out for something small/personal for them (I've had Mr & Mrs Christmas tree baubles made before, for example) but if I wasn't sure they'd like something and they'd insisted no gifts, I would just give a card! (I have absolutely no issue with people asking for presents/cash incidentally, our decision is only based on OH's family being a bit strapped for cash and us having a wedding abroad!)

OH's parents coming round in a bit and I've made scones a la Nanamia! Tidying is done too, which is how bad my emails/work procrastination is - I've cleaned the toilet to avoid it! :rotfl:

Usually I couldn't agree with you more, but have read a lot of research recently that ties dairy to fertility issues, same with gluten and meat :( I know that for the vast majority these have no impact on their ability to have children, but sadly we're unexplained and have just been told by the NHS to fend for ourselves - I think if someone told me that drinking snake pee could work, I'd probably try it ;)

The frames although beautiful were a bit too big, I did manage to find some on ebay though :) But thank you so much for thinking of me x

    Hi,
TRENDYJENNY hope you are feeling a bit better today, and hope the doctor can help you, im glad your work colleagues were really nice
    FEISTY good luck!
CAITLYN aah i do miss the days when my kids were little, organising parties, making the cake etc. My eldests birthday is in march and she wants a vintage, tattoo cake so i have been researching online at piccies, i bet it feels good knowing everything is sorted for the wedding

I was in M**alan today and noticed they had some lovely xmas signs, really nice bright colours, one said 'Make Magic Be An Elf' and the other one was 'HO HO HO Spoken Here' they were each reduced to £2.50 from £5 each. And FINALLY we have a HB i think it opened just before xmas! They still had Olympic mugs for 29p and i also bought Olympic egg cups for my DS stocking @ 99p for 4. I also bought Nicky kitchen rolls 3 for a £1, washing conditioner 50p, schwartzkopf conditioner for a £1, effervescent vit c tabs 89p (i usually pay at least £1.50), sanex deodorant £1 (usually pay £1.50), a lovely black square tin with pictures of make up on top £2.99 (for my daughters make up), and she stocked up on gel feet pads for when going out clubbing 59p she usually pays about £3. So i was well chuffed, if i dont like anything then i can try something else but its worth trying out at those prices.

Sorry been AWOL last few days, been finding things tough, not sleeping etc etc starting to get over myself now tho :)
Been to see my wonderful, amazing, inspirational DSiL each day. Wow you should see the progress she's made. Friday morning she went out for breakfast bless her. He DP and DD went with her and she thoroughly enjoyed it :) the physios are coming out to her three times a week and are amazed with her progress. They turned up Friday with a three wheeled walking frame for use outside and heard of her breakfast out adventure on one crutch and took the frame back. Ha she really is a superstar xxx

Oh my word Feisty you pair have definitely been through it recently. Like the other lovelies said it is time for your luck to improve let's hope it does VERY VERY quickly :) Is DHs op this week? And then hopefully they can quickly get to the bottom of the other problem. You know by now what our two children mean to me, I too would drink snake pee if I thought it'd help you conceive. We are all routing for you sending rich fertility vibes your way :) xxx

Freespirit thank you once again, I've collected all our memories and jotted down a few things (I do it ever holiday) in the hope that one day I will get round to making up my scrapbooks. You never know 2013 might be the year I do, I did think I'd make up a photo album on truprint and wait for a half price offer. Not yet whilst I'm so raw (silly I kno)
I blooming knew I should have insisted on going into Matalan yesterday DH wisely said I didn't "need" anything and now I've missed more bargains:(

Chrissy a bungalow sounds fab, I grew up in a bungalow and have been staying in one the last few weeks- didn't realise how much I loved them. It will be so much better for you, sending decorating vibes to you and hurry up and sell vibes for your house. Time to open a new chapter:) xxx

Happy belated birthday Madz, hope you have a good day. X

Linda_Lou where've you been we've missed you are your caring posts xxx

Moneysavingmumofone I know you've been wonderfully brave and been to the dentist and am so sorry you are still having toothache but and it's a big BUTTTT I'm going to badger you until you make that drs appointment. Morning noon and night. You are very important to us and we need you at your best so I may well start a petition ""GET MONEYSAVINGMUMOFONE TO THE DRS"" and then it be on the news and you wouldn't like that!!!
(Well done on the bargains tho :) HB is sometimes like that then the next time there may be loads of things you are after! I'm with your DS I lovvvveee stationary dept, staplers, rulers, pens, post it notes etc ) xxx

Bunbun glad to have you back:) did you have a good time? Sorry to hear DH is still off, it must be very hard for you too but looks like you've managed to find the positives :) well done you xxx your DS dietary needs are gonna make meal times tricky :(
I don't know I've been moaning trying to get my head round slimming world then I read or you and Feisty and feel thoroughly ashamed of myself.

Rebel :) I love it too when the countdown goes into the 200's wooo hooo it's getting closer.

Trendyjenny I reread something the other day about only strong people getting depression for being strong for toooooooo long. You shouldn't have two classes, what are they thinking!!! At least breaking down as horrible as it was proves you are human and not superwoman. I'm glad your colleagues looked after you. It's time to be kind to you now. If your doctor recommends you taking some time off please listen to him. And look after yourself. :)

Caitlyn oooooooohhhh exciting times ahead now. How were the scones? I'd hate to have poisoned your inlaws before the big day :) xxx
