oh Feisty Im so sorry! I hope pooch is ok but that is so frustrating for you!
I popped into Boots this morning after dropping kids at school, nobody there, I went to the smaller one on the retail park (parking!)rather that the bigger one in town as thought that would be heaving! About 8.55 a couple of people turned up, there was one small aisle with stock both sides, I got a Hello Kitty alarm clock, lovely snuggly scarf and hat set, a big game from the gadget collection, a couple of Match of The Day bits, all were about £15 each with 75% off, spent £20 and have made a great start on DS and DD's stockings! There were bits of Gok, Royal Jelly etc, no Sanctuary or Champneys, but there may be in the bigger stores. Good luck anyone heading out!
Generally people were polite, there ended up about 8 or 9 people in the aisle, but seemed pretty civilised!0 -
I booked the morning off work purely to go to the Boots sale but as I was done so early I really thought I could catch up on here and also update my MSE sig for 2013. But.... I keep being distracted by "The Simpsons tapped out".
I need to keep chanting "must resist, must resist". Arrrrgggh! XxAims for 2014

OMO I hope you are feeling better and the results dont keep you waiting for too long
MsGigglewick you made me smile about te efridge! ours was about 20+ years old in the kitchen and started leaking abo0t a year ago, had to defrost it weekly and pack kitchen roll around it every night ... this was purely because I kept meaning to sort it out and other things got in the way! finally got a new one in BD sales .. so nice not to be paddling around it!
lol its still leaking! payday isn't for another 2 weeks and money isn't due in until around then either lol. Its so very hard not to go fritter away the spare money just incase......... lol
I went up to the boots sale this morning too. dd3 walked up the road to school on her own (its only about 10 houses up so not far lol but since she was attacked last year shes still nervous about walking to school on her own as its so quiet, didn't get a phone call so shes ok) saying she hoped the bargains were good(think she thinks its all for her) Glad i gave up online, just got back. (Yeovil town store not big one on edge of town) Got there at 8:30 expecting everything to be gone ,anyway very pleased i bothered...was 3 of us there when i got there. staff was taking turns choosing stuff and very helpful.. i got £210 worth of stuff for £12 (ty to the boots points glitchs and treat st) ... perfume sets were 75% off too. No queue at checkout which was good as till lady had to put my stuff through twice as the till turned off lol...was staff standing around twiddling fingers but shelves were emptying quickly as i left.
i got a hello kitty digital camera, watch, pj's, suede gloves, usb hub, grow chilli set as well as smellies, perfume sets and makeup(18 products in total).. really quite chuffed.. having gone in two days ago there wasn't much i'd have got, not sure where all this stuff came from lol.
Don't recall seeing the perfume sets before xmas so maybe they brought stock in for it.. there was only 3 sides of an aisle though. and i forgot to grab some mens smellies nevermind! lolTotally debt free wohooo 2014

Forgot all about the boots sale, only remembered as I came on here and saw it mentioned so popped to have a look online and most of it sold out, I put a few things in basket but when most things were sold out I just gave up and emptied it. Not popping to town as I would have to walk in the snow, maybe I will get really lucky and there will be some left when I finish work tomorrow :rotfl:13 projects in 2013 0/130

I too was going to buy some bits in the boots sale but the website is being rubbish and we do have a little boots out of town but I doubt they will have much and the main boots is in town and tbh I just can't be facing it, and really I don't need it, plus I went into hmv after work yesterday and spent abit too much. Plus it's cold outside I may have to pop out to get something for dinner caus I believe Dad piled a whole load of stuff on top of the freezer, turns out I don't ave to venture to the shed Mum found the chicken I got yesterday for dinner, we are having risotto
I knew that :rotfl:

I got my 5 Ted Baker sets. Bit of a fluke. Woke up with a start at 4 this morning as I had forgotten to put the rubbish out. Came down, opened the front door and thought 'stuff that' ( must have been minus 5) and shut it again. I will put 2 bags out next week. But was so awake I came on here with a coffee and saw the boots thread had gone wild.
Went on to Boots site ordered sets no problem. Did look at some other bits but they were all sold out (by 4.30) so just got the TB sets I wanted.
Am hoping to get dispatch email soon so I can alter present list. If I get them it will be another 4 people finished.
One of my friends went into town this morning and said it was packed with people carrying 5 or 6 large boots bags. I never bother going in there on 75% day. I sadly live in a VERY chavy area, and know there would be nothing civilised about it.
The Boots thread does make me laugh. There are people on there moaning about the greed of other shoppers they encountered this morning, only to then gloat about what they got for the £200 they spent. That's £800 of gift sets :eek:0 -
