Well the week is not off to a very good start. Have had a nurse call in sick first thing, she let the same placement down twice last month so in all likeliness we have just lost a clientBookings are sparse at the moment and our house deposit looks like a pipe dream
Can I be really nosey and ask what it is you actually do? Do you run a group of nurses?Ameyturtle wrote: »there is much pouting going on here as we has no snow yet
been doing ok for nsd' s here need to go back and find my list see how I'm doing
I really need to start my nsd's again. i think I might just struggle on this month, as I am limited to spending anyway all be it January, and then really go for a big number in February.msgigglewick wrote: »OMG! my dh finally got around to doing the ppi claim thing.. thinking he'd get not alot..... over 17000 he's due! he doesn't know it yet lol but omg its going to pay off ALL our debts! with a few grand left over... im sat here shaking! if i could kiss martin right now i would! this is life changing for us.. it frees up over a thousand pound a month, something we couldn't see happening for over 5 years time... Evening all!
DH just popped down to Tesco to collect new vac - ours gave up the ghost on Sunday.Think the combination of pine needles, and bits of paper on the snug carpet was too much for it!Takes me ages to get used to the feel of a new one.
Busy day at work today, so an early night methinks.
Take care everyone xxx
Can I ask what hoover you got? Was it a bargain, I am desperate for a new one and can't decide what to get, I really need a non upright one though as I dont have the room for it.pinknfluffy28 wrote: »Oh my, soooo many pages to catch up on! Nosiness is my middle name, so I certainly don't mindMy official business (the one that pays the bills) is running a Temporary Dental Nurse Agency - we cover holidays, sickness and staff shortages. My second business is making jewellery for my Etsy store (they were my tree necklaces a few pages back) and my soon to be third business is a paper-crafting business
More bad news todayThe youngest dog has to have an emergency operation for a dislocated leg tomorrow - this has cleared out our whole house deposit - I could cry, especially as we had to pay to have the same operation to her other leg in September

oow good luck with the new venture pinknfluffy.
aww feisty sorry about your dog needing an op and it clearing out your savings. We are also trying to save for a deposit, hard now i can only manage part time work, and its so frustrating when things keep happening to eat into that money. Especially when you need even higher deposits these days to even try and get a foot on the property ladder.13 projects in 2013 0/130 -

Feisty - I like both papercuts - but if I had to pick just one - I may sway towards the second one - no first one - oh I don't know - I like them both
msgigglewick - congratulations on your great news - you must be over the moon.
Have been trying to keep up with you all but sadly I'm failing miserably atm. Must try harder.
Take care everyone

Hi, been AWOL for a while but have seen the posts about the carb-free diet. OMO, I follow low carb, and it is tricky, you do need to be organised. But, here are a couple of my staples:
Warm chicken and bacon salad
High meat content sausages with cauliflower mash
Chicken in diet coke (basically brown chicken then pour in some diet coke and simmer until reduced and sticky, like BBQ sauce)
Minute steaks in pepper sauce (aka melted Philadelphia type cheese with pepper in)
Breakfast for me is either a protein shake, eggs or deli meats.
For a treat, natural yoghurt with a little Splenda and lemon essence.
Hope that gives you some "food for thought"Bossymoo
