Shopping all done now - Mr As at 6.45 then into town a bit later on a slipper hunt for my dad!

Going to do some wrapping now and then I need to carry on sorting downstairs and prepare the food before everyone arrives between 5 and 5.30.

    Merry Christmas everyone

Hello again. I have had a very busy morning. Everything is now prepped for tomorrow, and everything except cheese dishes now ready for buffet tonight.

Have decided to text people rather than phone as they may be a bit busy but not feel they can say so.

So thats next with my cuppa, will then have a last minute clean.
Spend less now, work less later.

        Hi all

Just on "damage limitation" as opposed to Flying this week, I think.....

Helen many thanks for the offer of a fan heater and clothes horse, but honestly, we're fine. It's a really tiny bungalow, and as the weather's not desperately cold, the gas fire in the lounge and the portable fan heater we have are coping; also I have three clothes horses, just a chronic shortage of space to put them!:D

I'm pretty much up to scratch with the washing now, did a WM load of Mr LW's stuff overnight (as Dave sleeps on the bed, I could get away with it) and currently have one A-frame over the bath and the smaller one standing in the lounge, to the side of the gas fire.

Just when I thought it couldn't get worse, the immersion heater has packed up also. So have to boil the kettle to get any hot water now.

Anyways, Mr LW's boss has said he can wfh on Thursday;:T:T:T I was absolutely bricking it at the thought of coping alone with workmen in the house.:eek::eek:

Dave has gone home, and Daisy has arrived. She's in her bed at the moment; I shall have to see if she fancies a walk shortly.:o

Quick list update before I start cleaning jobs. I've cleared the ironing pile, now I'm going to go and throw the vacuum around upstairs so DD can go and clean the bathroom floor and deal with in there while I get on with other jobs downstairs. She's currently watching Scooby-Doo which I can't stand but is clearing much needed space on the box :D

        Also I need to:
        • Clean kitchen ceiling off (horrible black marks)
        • Finish icing cake (after DD has gone to bed)
        • Remake beds
        • Wash bedding/clothing (first load is already in!) after baths so there is minimal washing from tomorrow!
        • Make room on the fr33vi3w box for all the things we want to record over the next few days, only about 12+ hours worth of TV to watch plus todays recordings
        Off to do upstairs
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.
