Anyone for a 9.30 HHC? Otherwise I will still be sat here at 10am.
Don't forget about tracking santa: http://www.noradsanta.org/en/track.html
Yet another Flylady tradition.
Thanks for the link, hex. DS2 just asked me about that last night, so he'll be impressed.
It's lovely to read so many familiar names on the thread. Feels like coming home, really!
Sorry about the loss of your furries, Froddy. I know they'll be sadly missed.
I didn't sleep well last night, so got up with DH just before 8 when he had to get ready for work, rather than 2 hours earlier. I'm with CY - what gets done gets done. No point making myself any worse than I already am.
Time for a list update.

Embb As you're in the NE, try your local co-op. Lots of pigs in blankets and chocs in some. Depends on your one and what you want.
Turkey is in oven, dogs have had one walk in the drizzle and I'm having a cuppa before cracking on with baking.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
Morning all

I didn't manage to complete last weeks list so I'll add anything I've not done to the bottom of the list. DD is currently up in her room wrapping my pressies and making me a card. I'm about to finish off the ironing I tried to do last night but failed as I was too tired. So lets see whats left to get done today:
:xmastree:Christmas Eve - FRANTIC FRENZY:xmastree:
- Make sure the last of the presents are wrapped I will not have people sitting up into the early hours on Christmas morning wrapping!
- S&S the kitchen - make that "clean kitchen"
- S&S the bathroom/s and loo's - make that "clean bathroom"
- Spend at least half an hour doing something for yourself.. reading.. relaxing.. goggling... remember you are important too
- Have a crazy HHC decluttering downstairs
- Children... quick.. tidy your rooms you don't want Santa thinking you don't look after your stuff.. he might not leave any presents!
- Vacuum through downstairs.. and the stairs!
- Mop the kitchen floor!
- Get rid of the washing up.. delegation is good!
- Get out any special christmas crockery and make sure it is all clean and nice to use.. placemats etc too!
- Declutter your desk.. or anywhere else that has all your paperwork on.
- WRAP WRAP WRAP!
- Spend half an hour doing NOTHING!!.. absolutely nothing!!!! Just sit.. and relax with a drink and a treat!
- Bake some mince pies
- Wash pots before bed!
- Bath time to wear everyone out..
- Straighten the tree
- Get the roll of binbags at the ready
- Set up the video & camera!!! Fully charged and ready to roll!!
- Quick whizz over the clutter and carpets..
- Relax, enjoy yourselves and have a lovely time with your family!!
- If it isn't done now you don't need it to be done it isn't important!
- Clean kitchen ceiling off (horrible black marks)
- Finish icing cake (after DD has gone to bed)
- Remake beds
- Wash bedding/clothing (first load is already in!) after baths so there is minimal washing from tomorrow!
- Ironing
- Make room on the fr33vi3w box for all the things we want to record over the next few days, only about 12+ hours worth of TV to watch plus todays recordings

Ok ladies, DONT WORK TOO HARD TODAY, what really matters is spending quality time with your loved ones and does it really matter if something isnt done, the world didnt end on Friday last week and it isnt going to even if the turkey isnt defrosted so stop fretting and have some fun. Love you all xx
Right I'm off for a shower then I might hoover through, put some bedding in, do some cooking and if I dont I aint gonna worry about it.

oh tis the season to be ILL - you can bet your life when I was at the paid stuff whenever I took holiday I would be ill, Xmas, Summer, Easter or a random week it didn't matter.
I have been under the weather for a bit having a bit of a struggle, but was glad to have everyone home for the holiday before flybaby arrives and thought this was the worst it was going to be.
Felt like I had icepicks buried in my eyeballs since last night and my blood has been all over the place. Rang the midwife who rang me back, given the OK to whack my meds up yet again to get me to the other side of the holiday, then I have to ring them again and let them know how things are (they are busy turfing new mums out of the wards this morning trying to get a clear ward for Christmas Day!)
As my glands have swollen in my neck to the size of walnuts so that I can see them in the mirror, the midwife said that as they start to go down and I feel better I may need to adjust my meds back down again.
I have had a look at the list, some of it was done inadvertantly yesterday as the Skint Ritz was starting to turn into the Skint Pitz as I was painting skirting for the downstairs loo.
Need to fortify myself with a cuppa and a good lurk before deciding what I can actually do and what NEEDS to be done:D
I may be back on later for some company for a HH of .......something useful :rotfl:The cold never bothered me anyway0 -
Thank you Short Bird for the Muppet link - that's the one sketch I can always call to mind when given a cabbage. I love the Swedish chef.
Natty I'm seriously impressed with the number of things you've reminded me I haven't done! Thank you to both you and Dusty for the lists. A little gentle Flying here today and then my favourite bit, the wrapping.Better is good enough.0
