  • Evening ladies - hope you are all well?

Been pottering around the house all day and it is now looking lovely.

Wm x 2, TD x 2, emptied glass cabinet and washed shelves, Dishes x 5!!!!!, dog bed in washing machine, Kitchen, Lounge and Utility floors swept, hoovered and mopped. Recycling done, recycling buckets bleached out and dried, finished wrapping presents, cooker and hob cleaned. Just sat chilling now and going for a pamper in the bath soon.

Thanks for the lists again - you have made such a difference to my home ladies.

    Enjoy your Christmas everyone

    TMD xx

I ended up having a nap after lunch (sure sign that I'm not 100% yet), but the LR is looking as good as it will be (just need to finish hoovering one bit) and we have somewhere to eat tomorrow, even if the cat has walked over the white tablecloth.

Beds are stripped and DS2's is ready with clean bedding, he has had a bath and is in his new pyjamas. We've just had our traditional warm ham sarnies and I'm chilling with a cuppa (while keeping an eye on Santa's progess ;)).

So the plan for the rest of the evening:
Wrap a few presents and write cards so I can deliver them before collecting DS1 from work at 9pm.
Wrap rest of presents (the majority :o), have a nice glass of something and get to bed.
Leave out treats for Santa and Rudolph.
I may or may not get in the bath/watch a film with DS2 - depends on time/how tired he is. We'll see.

    Have a lovely evening, everyone.

absolutely no further forward than I was earlier

brb - ok now the ensuite is cleaned :rotfl: and fresh sheets on my bed

I must, must, must get the turkey stuffed with fruit and the oven programmed as I doubt that I will be functioning at 5am

And.....now its time for dinner....*singing* it's beginning to look a lot like "Sandwiches!":eek::eek::eek:

Well, I may or may not be back on here later....happy holidays one and all :D:D:D
The cold never bothered me anyway
  • Hi there and many good wishes to all the lovely fly-ladies.

I got back on Sunday afternoon from a weekend in Gloucestershire, just in time to get some nice fresh food from my local M and S, now are all sorted on the food front!

All presents are wrapped and mostly given out, except for OH's, I will do his tomorrow afternoon over a cuppa (Christmas Day) as we don't open ours until Boxing Night. Been mad busy as doing last bits of cleaning etc (thank you Natty for the invaluable list), walked next door's dogs and been to work! Also had friend round for coffee for two hours, so not had a minute to spare.

Tonight I've finished wrapping a few things for work, and finished off a few things the residents have made for their families/loved ones, as I'm in tomorrow and my job is to help the residents open their gifts, play and sing carols to them and generally act as hostess dishing out sherry and chocolates to the residents and their visitors, so I can't really complain about working, can I! It should be a nice day and I should be able to come after lunch.

So, Merry Christmas one and all and I hope everybody's Christmas wishes come true! Love, R x

Pavlova in oven. DH gone mad as he wants to cook pigs in blankets. I am supposed to cook at a time convenient with him that's why I did the first cake at 6.30am so as not to be using the oven for cooked breakfast. He was pushing zzzz's. fed up!

DS1 has eaten the top crust off the loaf cake I left cooking on the wire rack. I'm so exasperated with him.

I'm nearly on top of preparations. Small disaster is we only have 4 tea bags left!

If I don't come up for air in the next 48 hours I hope everyone has a fabulous festive Christmas.

Lots of Flylady love to all my dear friends in this inspiring thread xxx
