Meanwhile, back in the real world...

Doesn't sound like you know much about the real world. :p

Bravehearted's post seems entirely logical. If someone fills the gap in front, you ease off to restore the gap. It's very simple.

Your simply not going to understand it, until it happens to you......

It's incredibly easy to cause another driver to hit the back of your car.

It's even easier to catch out a "good" driver because there are moments when you know their attention won't be on the front of the vehicle. As a driver checks over their shoulder when joining a DC or motorway for example, any decent driver will do this....... You never join a DC/MW without checking your blind spots.

We visited Friends up North in Bradford, they made it very clear indeed that people will slam the brakes on deliberately.
We took it with a bit of salt, until it happened, yes they do ! and luckily I had it in mind and only just stopped, I had put the winter tyres on, if I had the summer tyres we would have been had.
Apparently its a bit of a trade up North insurance scamming and people make a living from it !

Could have easily been a legitimate situation tbh where some moron makes a last second dash for an exit leaving one vehicle performing an emergency stop and the second vehicle having to take action.

Yes. Research has shown Bradford to be a car insurance fraud hotspot.

It's you husbands fault if he ran into the back of her, end of.

I've been reading your posts in this thread and you seem to think you know it all. I don't normally post as I just like to read these forums but I felt the need to because of YOU.

It's not always the fault of the person that runs into the back of someone. As a few have already mentioned, there are a lot of scenarios and given that there is enough evidence to prove it, ie fraudulent or someone cutting in front of you and braking wildly, then it isn't.

So to put it bluntly like you have with your blunt comments.

    You are wrong. "END OF"
