I know he will be by law at fault but i am just trying to stop one of a possible fraudulent claim that seems to be acceptable these days .....

No i had a car infront of me not the same one as infront of him. I cold see her car the whole time in my rear view mirror. He was not driving to close like i said we have a witness who states she braked suddenly for no reason it was not my husbands fault, that is why witnesses are there.

The lady works in a hospital she was not seen by the hospital for whiplash and was very keen to get to work in the way she was speaking and the speed at which she drove off.

co incidence but she lives the next road down from my mother in law, no one is home when i have passed and there is no car, the only damage to her car was a small dent in the rear bumper totally roadworthy. Where is she if she cant work?? Also the solicitor is saying they are unsure if the car is a total loss, from the damage i have on the photo it is clear it is only the bumper.

Sorry but to me that just says that you are looking out for your own back and not really fussed about the claim being genuine or not.

Depends on the age of the car and the cost of the repairs including man hours etc.

To you it might be a £200 bumper and a bit of paint. To an insurer it's a quote, a new bumper, an expensive paint job (yes it really does cost a lot), a couple of technicians to strip the car down, and rebuild it etc. Unfortunately that all adds up.

That was my point. Fraudsters tend to make a big deal out of it at the time.

I fell off my bike, and although I hit my head and gashed my knee, it wasn't until the next day that I got the pain in my neck & shoulders.

Well he has now. His fault too, you should have called them on the day it happened.

They will put it down as an at fault claim.
