My work closes on bank holidays. The rest are working days and you would need to use your personal holidays. I am working 24th then not till 31st and then start against on 2nd.
  • I'm working everyday of the christmas and new year week, except xmas eve when I have the complete full day off!, although my 2 hour rounds per the AM/PM are really nothing compared to any 12 hour shift and longer being worked so my respects to anyone having to do this x

It doesn't feel much like christmas for me, but hopefully it will soon, I hope I'm not turning scrooge like!

  • I'm self employed, and I have a massive backlog (I guess that's a good thing though!) so I will be pushing really hard over the weekend to get as much done as possible. If I get everything done, I'll give myself a couple of days off. If I don't, I'll have to keep working.

No new work will be coming in until the new year, so really it's all down to me whether I get time off or not. I've just recovered from the winter vomiting bug and I'm still feeling pretty drained so I'm just not that motivated right now.

  • would normally have xmas day/boxing day/new years day off but due to hubby being in afgan and having no children I have volunteered to work in the GP OOH service xmas eve night and new years day so that others can have it off.

  • I'm a care worker and will be working this afternoon, then Boxing Day and each day into the New Year. I work with great people though so it's not such a hardship.
    Happy Christmas to all.
  • I am working all over the holiday, including Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day.

I am a professional house/pet sitter and am looking after a barn conversion and two dogs whilst their owner is away for the holiday.

Doesn't sound much like work to me! :D

work in a bookies, we are closed Christmas day ( we have to take a days holiday for that) open the rest of the time and I'm off on 28th for one day.
  • I'm off from 2:30pm Xmas eve and going back on the 3rd of Jan. I usually work all working days over Christmas so those that have children can take the time off. This year, there's enough staff do me to have it off too! Hurray!
