  • Not concerned about parks but is there a way of locking in dates? Partner is a teaching assistant so can only go away the half term 27th May.
  • Really fancied this park. We are doing our sun hol in october half term though, and it closes mid october:(
    One for the future though!

We went to Villanova for October 1/2 term 2012 with the Sun. One outdoor pool was closed, one open (but too cold for all but the most hardy) all other facilities - golf, indoor pool, sports courts etc were open. Although many people seem to do airport transfer, car hire was cheap and gave flexibility for getting to beaches, days out in Barcelona etc

we love Disney @ halloween so tend to go to La Croix Du Vieux Pont ( 1 hours drive from Disney) for Oct half terms
but obviously if you arent tied to school holidays then better / quieter to go in term time !

Lake Garda is stunning ! we flew into Verona and then got a private transfer to Cisano / San Vito ,which was right on the lakeside

we just walked or used the ferry to get to other areas of the lake. definitely do not need to hire a car

you will always make a good saving on the european parks by booking with the SUN :)

Thanks for that, we have looked at parks 301,302,303 & 304 for lake Garda.

Will have a look at the park you suggest for Disneyland. Is there any parks that are closer, I have looked but can't seem to get my head around locations! How did you get to France flight or ferry - ideally I would like to get a flight instead of taking the car as we are in Cornwall we are quite far away from the ferry ports!

We flew to Verona and then got private transfer ( easier as were 2 families inc 4 children )

didnt need a car whilst there, instead we just walked to various places along the lake and also used the ferry to get to the other ends of the lake

can also hire boats to explore

we stayed @ Cisano / San Vito , 2 parks joined together, with direct lake access

stunning part of the world :)

We are hoping to be first time Sun holiday abroad people, have holidayed in the UK for three years now but feel that I want to venture abroad! I can't seem to find the Cisano / San Vito parks do you know what number they are? Who did you use to book your flights with? Is the airport far from the parks and can you arrange a transfer when you book a flight or just get a taxi when you land? sorry for the questions you can tell this is my first time :rotfl:

Thank you, I think Italy will have to wait as the flights are just a tad too expensive, but think i have found our Holiday, hoping I get the dates we need at the weekend :)

Hi... I've a couple of questions about upgrading with Haven that I hope someone can help me with.

The Sun upgrades are called Luxury and Luxury Plus. Are these the same as Standard Plus and Superior as on the Haven site?

Does anyone have an idea of what standard of accommodation Premier Plus from here, would be on their normal site? Would it be deluxe?

Also what are peoples experiences with upgrading on arrival. Am thinking of going first week in June if that makes a difference with how busy it'd be, etc.

    TIA

The only way to guarantee the date you want is to book online (presuming you've been sent a priority code for booking online). If not, best bet might be to check out the similar Daily Mail offer which is booking now and anybody can book online... see this thread... https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4361859

I know a Sun 'Luxury' is equivalent to a Haven 'Superior' as that's what we always stay in. I think my Dad has chosen a Sun 'Luxury Plus' before now and I think that's equivalent to a Haven 'Deluxe'. But don't know about the others I'm afraid.
