parking charge free car park

Hi there, this subject has probably been done to death, but I don't understand stuff if it is not my circumstances, I will explain as I go along. I parked in free car park at a hospital, but as it was full, I parked at the end of a row, not in a marked box. My appointment was for the hospital to see if I have autism. The car park is for the use of this hospital, and not the one next door, which you have to pay for to use. The one I parked in, you have to enter your details of your car in a computer where you are visiting. Anyhow, came out and ticket on drivers window. All details correct apart from colour of vehicle. Ticket states black, my vehicle is baby blue and it was ten o'clock in morning, bright enough to tell difference between black and baby blue. Anyway, ticket for parking beyond bay markings, if the car park was free, no revenue has been lost, no obstruction occur ed as traffic was free to flow, should I challenge ticket or pay it, if challenge how would I do it. The ticket is from a bpa member excel parking services limited.
I'm not mad, it's just that my reality is different to yours!

Just ignore it, file it away and await the letter chain. You can see this in the stickies of this sub forum.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

You seem to have the right idea about ignoring. Your circumstances are no different from many others. The parking compnay hasn't got a case, as there was no loss.
The colour of your car is irrelevant - it would make no difference to anyone's case if this ever went anywhere (which it won't). And if my baby was blue, I'd be calling the doctor :shocked:0 -

Firstly, because of your medical issues you could well be covered by the Equality Act 2010. Because many poeple visiting a Hospital for appointments may be covered by the Act, the Hospital has a clear legal duty to make 'reasonable adjustments' such as a higher % of disabled bays than most car parks, particularly if they are always full, and MUCH clearer signage than would perhaps be displayed in a Supermarket/cinema/block of flats car park, etc.
If you have long-term symptoms of a condition which affects your daily life then you could actually have used a disabled bay when not on the public highway. Although the idiot PPCs would have slapped a ticket on the car anyway as they think that these bays are only for people with Blue Badges - which is WRONG IN LAW.thebrickdepot wrote: »The ticket is from a bpa member excel parking services limited.
The good news is that Excel are currently BANNED from getting DVLA data. So they can't send you any letters! This fake PCN will be the last you hear of it unless you write to them.
SO WHATEVER YOU DO, DON'T CONTACT THEM!! :eek:PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks for the replies to this issue, I think I have decided to ignore the ticket and see what happens. If a letter does come through the post, I will just act dumb and claim there was no ticket on my car as it was raining and it may have fallen off.I'm not crazy, it's just that your reality is different to mine0

If the claim involves contacting them I wouldn't bother, they won't take it beyond junk mail. When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

No - as I said, Excel are currently banned so if a letter arrives they will have got your data illegally. So you don't have to wriggle and pretend anything. You'd be complaining to the DVLA about a data protection breach and they would order all fake tickets cancelled (as they did when TNC debt collector got the data for a non-data accessing PPC).PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Excel are banned right now until mid January , but as they mostly put fake tickets on vehicles and not apnr they will have the ability to get keeper details from mid December. So it depends when the OP got the invoice. When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
