Morning All

Have been MIA for a few days because I have had hardly any sleep, last night I was awake every bloomin' hour .
DH has been sent for a chest x-ray and sputum test today, hopefully nothing sinister is going on.
Have just caught up with the last few days on the board and I was so sorry to hear about your cousin Marie and your friend bethebee for you and anyone else who has lost a loved one, it always feels worse at Christmas

Jools glad to hear that DH is stable and I hope that he has turned the corner and keeps on improving x x

Oh well the world is supposed to end today if you believe in the Mayan apocalypse, personally I believe that it is a transition rather than TEOTWAWKI especially because today is the winter solstice Que sera sera and all that, we can't change anything so onwards and upwards with a stiff drink at 11.21 am

Morning all,

No rain here for a change but meant to be getting more later, the road outside was like a river again yesterday.

feel slightly better today, so am on the mend, sore throat has gone, chest is still bad and nose streaming but no where near as bad, will hopefuly be gone by next week.

Today I need to nip to the local shop, (still have not been) for the last few bits, then drop dd off at the station, she has to go into college for an hour today, seems a waste of time to me, but she will meet her mates afterwards.

Yesterday afternoon was spent on the sofa watching terrible xmas films today might be the same.

Morning all, nice and bright here at the moment, hope it lasts . I am so fed up of muddy footprints everywhere and wet, muddy dog.
Off to tkae my DF to radiotherapy, it's in Bristol and parking is not good. Have to put WM on when DH is showered and wrap some presents.Hugs to Jools and family hope you have good news today about DH. Hugs to Molly, LW, Hilstep and anyone else who needs one. Well, We've almost made it to the end of term, Or the end of the world:eek:.

It was the end of year assembly today. I somehow managed to get roped in to that, but it was not too bad. so all teachers and kids will be gone by early afternoon. The school then becomes quiet and mine!

Hope you all get the christmas/ holiday/ festival. Yo uall deserve it for the mutual support that we get from this thread.

Have a cool Yule to those that celebrate. I shall be lighting a few candles tonight as a nod to it

Plans today are BM to go on, WM already on, vac pushed round, make some cheese and onion chutney tartlets, whip the kids butts on a Wii game and then have a small party with them. I am afraid I bought pizza, cocktail sausages for it but I did make fairy cakes yesterday. Not completely OS but just didn't have the time shall stick on some music, put on the disco ball and turn out the lights while we dance about like loons :rotfl:

Not sure about tea yet with H either not being here or coming home later than usual I am totally out of the loop,with cooking at night. That's terrible isn't it :o

Last day at work and hope to finish at 1pm but have a million and one things to do before then and our lovely boss has brought us snacks so I have to fit in being sociable too!

Major tidying/cleaning of house scheduled for this afternoon

Morning all!
No change to OH yet, yesterday met with a consultant, she said his condition is still life threatening, and they are worried that they cant get his temperature down at all yet, but the inflammatory markers in his bloods might be beginning to show a small response to the antibiotics. He is likely to be ventilated till at least this time next week, as they keep having to increase the level of support. He is no worse, and we are trying to focus on that.

JackieO. So pleased to hear of your good news. Safety first. Our shower is in the bath and in a lot of ways i wish i had taken the bath out and had a walk in shower fitted but i did think that maybe one day if i sold the house it might be harder to sell without a bath. Oh and the fact i do like my baths has something to do with it too.

Jools, still thinking of your husband. I hope he improves soon.

I'm rushed off my feet here trying to get everything ready for when the men break up for Xmas tonight. My son isnt so bad but hubby just 'lands' if you know what i mean. He chucks his out of town bag up the corner, his backpack, sleeping bag gets chucked on the work surface and from then on he just spreads.

I am trying to minimise the fallout. Everything and its dog (not mine obviously) has been chucked in cupboards. Surfaces cleaned as i dont know when i'll be able to give the place a good clean next.

Just sold something on Ebay, they will be coming to collect it sometime on Sunday. Thats some more junk out of my way! Hopefully i can put the money to the set of head phones my son asked me to get for him last night for Christmas. Hubby is so much better at saying no to him than i am.

Right best get on. Vaccuuming throughout done, stairs done, kitchen floor done, garden duties (in other words clean up after the dogs, done). I want to give the dogs a Christmas brush and tidy up this afternoon and of course theres always tea. Ive got some cards to write too.
