Good, update Java, uninstall combofix and you're good to go.

Uninstall these:
Java Auto Updater
Java(TM) 6 Update 31

Get the latest Java from here: www.java.com/getjava/

Reason: http://blogs.technet.com/b/security/archive/2011/11/28/millions-of-java-exploit-attempts-the-importance-of-keeping-all-software-up-to-date.aspx


It's important to uninstall combofix. If things aren't running well now, let me know before doing this.

Open a Run command box. (Start > Run or Windows key + R on your keyboard) and copy/paste this command in:

ComboFix /uninstall

Note the space between ComboFix and /uninstall , it needs to be there.

Click OK

Combofix will uninstall itself.

Then you're done!

Hi Waddler, i`m having trouble uninstalling combofix. I`ve typed in as you have said but when I press o.k windows can not find it. Savvy

Click on Start button then in the search for programs and files box type in:

cmd

and you should see the icon for the 'cmd' program appear. Open it then paste Waddler's combofix uninstall into the 1st line of the black window that opened.

Hi there Tox, just done as you said and it`s now coming up as not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.

If that doesn't work, download a fresh copy to your desktop, run it once and then re-try the uninstall.
