Another perverse ruling from the ASA. Since at no time were the contracts advertised as 'fixed' I remain amazed at the media claims that people have actually thought they have somehow signed up to a fixed term contract!

The reality, is they have signed up to a 'minimum term' contract which is a completely different thing - and prices have never been 'fixed' - just their commitment to pay for services during the period.

Further their contacts never 'end', or 'roll' - all marketing nonsense!

Stick with PAYG ans really stay in control - and no commitment or risk to a credit fle.

Couldn't resist commenting n this...think 3is one of the more unscrupulous of the lot! But I'll confess I was a big fat spineless idiot...was'nt thinking straight...got an ipad mini (apple) on 'fixed' contract for £25 pm for 24 months...15gb data (have wifi at home & haven't used it atall as yet) + 99£ upfront.
What a rip off!
I wasn't even dying for apple-woud have been quite happy with the new samsung gal tab...anyways...

So they unpacked & inserted the sim for me...so of course I couldn't return it..end up paying 700£ in total? :eek:
Oh I knw could have bought it for 269£ & got a pay as you go..
Oh I ll lump it but I can safely say I won't have anything to do with them again...
