There are more constructive things you can do, depending on your position.

Though that's true, not signing the petition because it (in all probability) won't do any good is hardly a constructive response to flipflop's request; and signing it doesn't preclude acting in other ways.

I am not signing it because it is the same as all the other petitions on the subject, ill thought out and unconstructive. These pointless petitions take away from the real issues. I really do think that challenges to govt policy should be lead by those that understand what they are doing.

I`m so glad you are keeping out of it then.

Why - because I advocate informed, constructive challenges rather than random epetitions?
  • I agree @miduck a Judicial Review or being able to bring Judicial Reviews? would be best done right etc etc, but we also need to drum up petition support and raise profile of issues so we cannot be ignored.
Successful legal action would be best. heaven only knows what the legal ramifications of the current reforms are, surely they can't be lawful?

    You have offered nothing constructive.

Merely Tory invective and child like criticism about the benefit system as a whole.

    Now on ignore.

  • Campaigning has to be precise. Legal challenges are the most important. Please god it happens but because benefits bashers are hungry to punish their seemingly !!!!less neighbours the government gets away with murder.
I am glad to see the views. If it results in secret signings of the petition and other campaigning action then so be it and i am glad.

  • Midduck why then if you a lawyer as i think you might be, why don't you put yourself to help them? then a random campaign can become focused and constructive, not that I criticize Martinez.

  • Come to think Lawyer Links to various Pro Bono and Free Representation sites might not go amiss either. A lawyer curated one will do more good than any hapless attempts by well meaning non lawyer types.
