No they aren't, as to date they have failed to provide a remedy.

Remedy is under way so satisfies SOGA
Not your make it up as you go along act.
Just to repeat, since you didn't seem to understand the question: Except the fault is not yet remedied, is it?
It's not remedied.
The SoGA has not been satisfied.
The OP doesn't have a working washing machine.
Curry's don't just wash their hands of it because they have instructed a third party.
And since you seem so hot on the SoGA :rotfl:maybe you could tell us when being without an washing machine becomes a significant inconvenience. Also, in what way does "I was told the Currys had no obligations" in any way meet the SoGA.0 -
I can see why the repair engineer wouldn't consider parking in a carpark and being picked up by the OP as a suitable arrangement.
They will probably have a van full of assorted spares and consumable parts, some of which may be needed during the repair. Normally he would just be able to pop out to the van to get these, but if it is parked elsewhere then this won't be possible.
They may also need to account for all the time spent on the job and transiting to/from the carpark may make this difficult for them.
F.M, as you have a car yourself, couldn't you park it near to your house and see if you could make an arrangement for the engineer to call you when he is outside, then you pop out and move your car, freeing up that parking space for him.
(maybe speak to one of your neighbours and ask if you could park in their drive or parking space for a short while).0 -

FWIW SoGA hasnt been satisfied. But it hasnt been satisfied in a way that no one seems to have picked up on yet. Given that OP first says bought in feb 2012 then says been without a machine 3 weeks so far......safe to assume the 6 month limit on the burden of proof has been reversed and the onus is on the OP.
The fault hasnt yet (that the op has mentioned anyways) been proven to be inherent. From what OP has said this is being repaired under manufacturers warranty (and they can attach T&C's to its repair) as opposed to SoGA.You keep using that word. Just a quick update - I got a parking solution (and met a new neighbour in the process!). Curry's asked Hoover to call me back on the 19th December to reschedule. I didn't get a call and ended up chasing Curry's again. This time Curry's spoke to Hoover directly and arranged a Hoover engineer to visit this morning. He parked without incident, but did not have any of the parts that had been ordered for the machine. Without these, there was nothing he could do other than agree that the machine was indeed broken. He has left and promised a call back to reschedule.
I am back on hold with Hoover again now (15mins so far...). Sigh.
First call to Curry's was 5th December and I have been without a washing machine for almost a month now.
@unholyangel, I had the same concern about the SOGA vs warranty. In every email I have exchanged with Curry's I have stated that I expected the issue to be remedied under SOGA.0 -
I just can't believe some of the replies here, it's not down to the OP to find a parking space. Anyone visiting peoples homes to do repairs will encounter this problem daily and it's down to them where they park.0
