I had a particularly vile day at work today - it was so busy with the lead up to Christmas. I work in a tiny, tiny bank (we have about 60 staff, and most of our customers are charities). Most places seem to be closing down on 21st, so I think whoever needs payments sending out has requested them now, so maybe tomorrow won't be quite as hectic.
So I was feeling a bit stressed, but after logging on here and reading the news from Jools, Beth and Mean Marie, it's really all been put in perspective. My very best wishes to you ladies.
Good news from Tina though!Early retired - 18th December 2014

Evening all, so wet here, went to visit a friend after school and the lanes were dreadful. The field where we take the dog is like a quagmire. DD had to bathe him this afternoon. Well school is over until 7th Jan so I can get myself organised for christmas.:j Have to get up tomorrow and take DD to work then later in the day take my DF for her radiotherapy in the town across the river. Might get to do some shopping if we have time. More healing vibes to Jools' DH hope he continues to stabilise and improve, hugs to you and your family. BTB sorry about your friend, it is always hard at Christmas to lose friends and family . Hugs to all in need, hope your GPs are ok Molly . Calming vibes to all children , so glad mine are grown up now. HH hope you get through tomorrow OK
Hope everyone has a good evening. Well done to your DMum Tina hope she enjoys spending her money£180.00 in 'sistercas'fund
Hope is like the sun, which, as we journey toward it, casts the shadow of our burden behind us.

(((hugs))) to Beth, MeanMarie and Jools
Today was my work kids last day :j. We went to our cabin and had hotdogs, crisps, pop and mince pies. They brought a Wii and some games. Think they enjoyed. I'm glad they are finished, not a bad group but not my favourites! I shall only miss one or two.
After work I popped to shops for last present and some tree bits. And then I finally put my tree up. It's a bit wonky but I like it! Still not feeling festive though
I need to wrap a few gifts to give to friends tomorrow over lunch. Then early night needed.
OS wise - LO hotdogs rolls frozen, LO stuffed peppers for tea, recycling sorted.
Night all

Evening All
So sorry to hear of all the losses, such a sad time for many of you.
HH - I feel your pain, it's the end of term for us tomorrow, although Head and Deputy Head provided a very nice buffet lunch for all staff members today.
Jools - Hope DH makes an improvement soon.
Busy day here, work with a party this afternoon and then the hospice for another party! Came home exhausted but have managed to get the washing done and hung on airers, cleaned 2 bathrooms and phoned 3 folk to make arrangements for christmas.
Weather is pants, rain, rain and more rain! Hope everyone is safe from the floods.
Take care. XX0 -
