Hi am really enjoying this thread and everyones success. Bet the banks are feeling crap about this - think of all the money they will lose! HAHA to them.

Does anyone know where i can read more about how people have managed to become mortgage free? Looking for some more inspirational stories.

Just remembered there is a MFit - Take 2 one which started this year but the date for signing up has closed.

You could start a new one as long as dithering dad and tall girl dont mind. Theres not much chance of me being mortgage free in 3 years but I could help you run it. Let me know

There is a MFW 2010 thread which is a yearly challenge

Just to let you all know that I am now official mortgage free and my goodness does it feel good. It will be 10 years early and £45,500 paid off since the start of this challenge in April 2007.

Was a really odd week last week:
    1. Wednesday my 14 year old cat died,
    2. Thursday I paid the last payment of the mortgage & cancelled the DD
    3. Friday we saw an IFA to start planning the future without a mortgage
    4. Saturday we put a deposit down for an expensive Maine Coon kitten but wont get it until late April.
Well that's it for me I can now officially join the cheerleaders group and spur the rest of you on. I shall now update the chart monthly so get your update to me anytime and I shall post the chart around the middle of the month.
