I agree it gets tougher and tougher now all the big stuff has been done. It is nice and inspiring to come on here and read how other people are doing good or bad and we must keep it going.

Personally I am struggling due to our bathroom renovations which is my own choice but we might have to take out an offset loan of a couple of grand to pay the final bill. Not a lot but still adding to the mortgage.

Matchbetting is still good though over £2500 since end of Jan and it is good fun too.

  • Rightly or wrongly, we're currently trying to clear credit card debt that's built up since we stopping fostering with no other income coming in - that is until I started Kleeneze. It's a bit of a slop for me personally given my mobility problems but I've now got my electric bike - which I will try to claim as a capital business expense - and it's great fun. Also now that hubby sees the cash that I'm bringing in, he's beginning to get interested. No movement on selling this house unfortunately but our new, well new to us, house is still waiting for us - just not sure for how much longer. If things go according to plan, the move won't increase the mortgage we currently have and my new "business" will help us get back on track for paying it off. Fingers crossed!!!!!!
:( Struggling too much wears a body out
  • Oops - slop is meant to be slog and no other income from me coming in - lol - what a dumpling I am - again!

good to hear how are others are doing / feeling.

i now have a decent-ish stoozepot (better late than never) and i am getting monthly interest to pay off the mortgage - so that keeps me going a bit.

ebay too - although my motivation seems to be one week on and one week off:rolleyes:

but i agree that mid-month (that's why ebay is good) things are a bit barren and i find myself wishing the month away till the next payday etc......

i keep trying to work out what our balance could feasibly be down to next year (as well as hope that the rates might come down a bit) as we will have to remortgage. the thought of having to use some of our extra money just to pay for extra interest due to higher rates is just pants!

keep it up all - it will be worth it;) x

    2 months till halfway??

We need to be prepared now and accept that the second half isn't going to be downhill, it will be more climbing, but at least now we're halfway up the hill we can turn and look back and see what a wonderful view it is...... looking back on the interest amount we used to pay compared to the interest amount we are paying now.:T Sounds good, keep it moving, people!!

    Hi everyone!

I've got my figures for July now - been on hols so a bit late but it fills the mid month void and pushes us to the top of the board again!

As you can see under £10k for the first time.

If we can manage to pay off £1,250 a month (which we won't be doing this month due to hols) we should get rid completely by Feb 09!

MMC - well done, that's a real milestone, isn't it? Feb 09 would be great!

We look forward to joining you in having a four figure mortgage sum next month too! I don't think we'll be managing february next year for an end date, though!
