I know the feeling, 'oh great' quickly followed by 'oh sh*t' .

Better to be in the position of having a choice though :D

    OK, here's what you do:

Toss a coin in the air, heads you take it, tails you don't.
Ignore the result. Base your decision on what you instinctively want it to land on. Works every time. (Trust me, Im an auditor  )

    And well done :j :j :j :j :j :j :j :j

OMG . . . This is what I do and I'm an auditor too!!!!

    How wierd

(Sorry I'm about a week behind but just catching up!)

Let me guess your random sampling technique involves eyes closed, a twirly hand & a highlighter, oh plus anyone with funny names ;) .

Mortgage goes out tomorrow so can update :D , hoping 2 credits are in current account so I can make extra payment as well :T . I wonder if bank balance changes at 00.01am....... too tired to find out :o

Hi ali007. I'm with Nationwide and I've seen the mortgage interest being altered at 00.01am before. Wasn't intentionally logged on at that time - had logged on about 23.55 and done a refresh and noted mortgage balance change.

Mortgage payments / overpayments appear to be applied the next day - at least with Nationwide.

Ok, I've updated my signature to where I think it ought to be but my statement will be delivered within the next few days I hope so I can check it off.
Adding the interest to my snowball put me back under £10k paid off and my financial OCD is playing up so badly that I need to get it rounded back to on or above £10k cleared.
Does anyone know when your ISA interest is applied? Does anyone know where I put all of my log in information for my ISA's?
I will have to take the £4 odd from my grocery budget methinks!
Anyhoo my friend has just looked over my shoulder and asked what I'm on so I am going to introduce her to the wonderful world of MSE and how to save money!
I'll update again and pm TG when I've had a chance to check all the savings accounts. Out of interest even if I drop down to my mnimum payment again I will be clear 17 yrs and 5 months of getting my first mortgage!

Just thinking out loud I think it would be easier to leave things as they are and perhaps have a secondary chart for those that have taken out new mortgages since we started the challenge so that they can see their revised challenge. Everyone seems to like the motivation that a collective reduction makes I am worried that of we reverse that trend it could demotivate.

Whilst it would be easy enough to alter start figures I would rather leave those alone, just my personal thoughts.

Another alternative is to add some more columns for those who have achieved their first target or borrowed more. Will have a think and see what I can come up with.
