There is no way I can get my mortgage balance easily without going in branch and queueing for an advisor or ringing up the 0870 lines..... but as a goodwill gesture they'd like to offer me £25.

I don't know if my account is slightly different but I have an ex Woolwich, now Barclays offset. On the mortgage part of their website they include this 0845 number 0845 601 561 for their mortgage dept. It is open 8.30-5.30 Mon to Fri and 9-1 on Sat. Hope it helps!

    Congratulations TTBG!!!!! :smileyhea

On a MFIT theme again, since taking up the challenge, I have made regular overpayments and paid an additional £1,250 off in two lump sums. This will take me, when my January payment goes out (which will be too late for the January update but never mind) to below £60K (£59,828 to be precise). I had only planned to reduce my mortgage by £11K over the challenge period but at this rate, I will smash that target and will be much closer to being mortgage free than I thought I would!

Couldn't have put it better myself! Lovely news!

    Jan grocery challenge £35.77/£120
  • Just made 10 per cent overpayment - allowable only in January - of £4515.00 bringing balance to £40642.27. This will be reduced even further when monthly payment goes through on 25th! Feels goooood :j ! Girlie asked me if I wanted to reduce our monthly payments or the term period :rotfl: ! Obviously went for the later knowing full well we intend to keep overpaying. We might be a bit behind MFi3-wise - but there's time yet to make it ALL up :money:
