Morning Everyone!
Lovely and fresh here in Berkshire today. Rain overnight, and now I think the sun is trying to peep through.
<Hugs> to the non sleepers and the poorly, and especially to GrannyBroon.and Crazychick.
Racy Thank you, you're description of the battle made me smile.
SoutM1 Fingers crossed...well, you know what I mean...for your OH today
Lynz FIngers crossed for Jazmine too.
PenPin It's good to let it out sometimes, your MIL sounds like a nightmare.
No gym again today, leg is still painful although the class II support sticking has stopped it swelling up too much. Hopefully it will be well enough tomorrow as I'm really missing the exercise. I can't believe I just said that. I've hated the thought of gyms for the last 20 years, and now I'm actually going (albeit to a Curves one) and I really like it.
Made Queenie's meatloaf yesterday, was lovely. Going to have some cold for lunch. Dinner tonight will be chicken, either curry (Pataks, sorry), or Chilli Chicken Piadines. Bought some sine in Waitrose which is especially for eating with spcy food, so we'll see how well it works.
Just finished poached eggs on toast and coffee.
Watered all the indoor plants, took about an hour in total. Think a whirlwind swish and swipe through will be enough for today.
Will pop back later to catch up some more
Have a good one

Morning All
(((grannybroom & crazychick))))
Dull and overcast here at the moment, wm is on but not sure if going to rain or not so will have to see.
Busy juggling money at the moment as main client didnt pay - think I have managed it but we are definately on a very tight budget the next few months.
1st day of SW diet and have carefully planned my menu for the whole day. Need to go to Asda later to stock up on healthy food but have people coming round at lunchtime to pick something up so will have to wait till later.
Mainly today will be in the office and doing only the minimum of house work, will be ironing later as want to keep on top of that.
Well off now - have a great day.
B - yoghurt
Mid morning - 2 slice wholemeal toast/marmite
Lunch - tuna salad
Dinner - gammon new pots loads of carrots

Sleeping much better at the moment, not sure why, OH woke me at 9.15 with my breakfast........
Its a very dull damp day, but we need the rain for the allotment, OH was hoping to go up this morning, no point, its raining!!!! Its quite cool this morning........
Our bedroom looks much better now I have moved some of the stuff and got rid of more. So far had 16 people asking for our floor mounted fan, going to put the numbers in a bowl and draw one out............
Not much planned for today, need to get the slicer out and cut up the remains of the turkey from Mr T's and the bread I made last night, if I can work up the energy I will make a pot of leek and lentil soup for lunch.
I might just take one set of the lving room curtains down and rehang them, they need to go on a higher hook, they are sticking when they go under the valance rail...........
Right I am off for a coffee and wake myself up a bit, Have a good day.......Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -
Good morning.
I've just got back from the dentist where I had a filling replaced, so my mouth is numb and I can't stop dribbling. I'd love a cup of tea but I have to wait a while and I'd probably end up with most of it down my front!
I've got to wait in this afternoon to for the repair man to have a look at my wm which sometimes spins during a cycle if it chooses to!
So I plan to wash floors, hoover and dust. I'm going to make lasagne for tea and then hopefully have a rest. I'm still not getting enough sleep and can't believe it's only my second week back at work...must be getting old!
dlb I bought an underwater camera from Home Bargains last year for our Florida holiday and was really impressed with the quality of the photos. I think it cost £2.99 and came with a pair of swimming goggles which were rubbish.0 -
Hi - again! What a cold grey morning! I've put the heating on! British Gas will be really enjoying this weather:mad:
Anyway, what a BRILLIANT lot you are - I only posted yesterday about the BM that nearly got away but, guess what, it was still there this morning and is now taking pride of place in my kitchen along with two bags of bread flour and some yeast! And DANNAHAZ - you are an absolute star!:T :T I found the instruction book online as you suggested and it is printing off as I type. I'm ridiculously excited about all the bread and other things I can make! :j :j The BM is model BBA 52, and on the front it says Team International on the left hand side and Rapido on the right. It has a black top and stainless steel outside casing (which I can make look luvverly and shiny with baby oil!) I must be patient and read the instructions properly before my first attempt - theres 22 pages! Anyway, thanks such a lot for all your help and advice and thanks DANNA for telling me where to find the instructions!:T :T :A :A
VIK - hope work turns out OK for you today!:A :A
LYNZ - Hope your dog gets better. Also, what type of freelance work do you do?
ANNIE B - If Colin Firth was with you last night, who the h*** was that in my bed?!
Incidentally, apparently dreaming about teeth is a sign of insecurity. I have a witch for an auntie and that's what she says!  She's a great believer in the mystical side of life and interprets many dreams!
EMMY - Happy Birthday to 6YO!:j :j :bdaycake: :bdaycake:
REVERIE - Welcome back - glad you had a good time!:T :T
PENNY PINCHER - B****Y families is all I can say! Well done for saying it like it is!:T :T
CCSTAR - Hope you get your car sorted out but glad you got home! Enjoy your time to yourself today! :A :A
CATZ - wsh your friend all the best; hope she is on the mend soon!:A :A
POOKY - wish you load of luck with the fertility treatment; I know a girl who was pregnant at 13 and had just had another one - at 16 - and she doesn't care at all. She leaves all the looking after to her mum. I felt as mad as h*** when I saw that case of the four women making those toddlers fight with each other, especially when the court was so lenient. There are so many people who just don't deserve to have children:mad:
CRAZY - so sorry about your FIL.:A :A
BEEMUZED - hope your DH is OK:A :A
SMOKY- If it was me, I would give the shopping to OH for a couple of weeks - definitely think it would do all the DHs good to do their share!  Menu plan right out of the window!
DANNA - hope your leg gets better and, once again, thanks for your advice re the BM!:T :T
JOCKET - hope your finger stops hurting soon!:A :A
TAPLADY - I remember helping out with paper rounds! Oh, the joy of it!!
Well - I MUST get some paperwork done and then read the instructions for the BM and see if I can welcome DH home with the smell of freshly baked bread at dinner time! Will let you know how I get on!:j :j

ANNIE B - If Colin Firth was with you last night, who the h*** was that in my bed?!

Mioliere, your post got me thinking so I went and browsed the web for some dream interpretations. I got three different interpretations from three different sites. One said I was lying to someone and afraid I would be caught out. As I hate lying of any kind, I think I can discount that one. The second said it was a sign of displeasure and fear of losing someone close to me. I'm discounting that too because I can't seem to apply it to my life just now. The third one said it was a sign of loss of control over a certain aspect of one's life. I suspect this one is actually right. There are a couple of elements of my life that I feel are beyond my control right now and they are starting to niggle away at me. So, I think the third one - and your aunt - are right.
Then again, it could just be because one of my crowns is coming loose! :rotfl:
Off to the supermarket to get a couple of things I need for the fajitas for dinner tonight. (must remember to buy stuff for lunch for the rest of the week - I am not paying £1.75 for a mediocre sandwich again. )
mioliere can't remember if it was you or donny-gal who gave me advice on DD's blocked ears. Just an update. The drops are working but very slowly so I have arranged an appointment for the GP to have a look at them tomorrow. Receptionist kindly booked an appointment with the nurse for Monday too just in case she does need her ears syringing. I do think our surgery is excellent when it comes to children.
Bye for now xx"Bad planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."
