How will I pay to print out CV's, claim, and applications forms (or indeed anything) at the Library? How will I pay late fees?

What social elements am I entitled to? Can I buy a pint with a friend down the pub? What about a soft drink? If I can buy orange juice from a supermarket, can i not buy an orange juice with a friend in a pub?

Am I allowed to buy takeaway meals, supermarket precooked or ready meals, not just mcdonalds? What if I want to buy from the local chippie?

How do I buy birthday or christmas presents for my kids, friends and family?

Am I allowed to go to the cinema?

Can I buy newspapers or magazines?

How do I pay for internet access?

What happens if there's a problem and the computer that swipes my card doesn't work?

How do I buy clothes? what clothes? What shops?

How do I shop online? Can I?

What if I need to make emergency payments? Pay for new lenses, a broken tv, a broken oven, a broken window?

Perhaps I should become a Tory MP like Maria Miller and her 90 grand home expenses claim?

I have bought no clothes at all in the time I have been out of work, nor been to the cinema or seen any of my friends socially. Don't buy a newspaper, or magazines or anything thats not food, toiletries or bills.

Now thats a good idea. Why not issue these cards to MPs so that they can only buy a designated range of goods (all meals in London to be purchased from the Commons canteen, none from the Commons bar etc.). We the taxpayer could then settle the bills and check them, deducting any illegitimate charges (duck bridges, etc) from salary.:D

There aren't plenty of jobs. You're not seriously so stupid as to believe that all the people out of work are lazy surely?
    .

    Ahhmmm - yes he is.

  • Why not?

If it's ok for those in work to buy booze and fags why noone else? They are bad for anyone regardless.

What if your boss said he's cutting your salary in case you spend you rmoney on such unproductive products. Maybe you'd be less of a shirker in your job if you didn't spend time idling with a fag in your hand gossiping outside.

Yes it is ok for those who work to spend their money on what they want.....you get money from the government when you could have a job, you do as they say.

I don't spend time idling, smoking, gossiping, or watching jeremy kyle. I have....you know one of those things that the workshy dont want...............a job!!

Everyone knows that your job is as a Brain washed 'Dally Mail' Troll
  • the daily mail is the only paper that tells the truth
  • the daily mail is the only paper that tells the truth
    .

As Arthur Koestler said- "the greater the lie the more people accept it as the truth".
Rings very true in modern times especially in times of dire economic need like the Thatcher years and at present.
Propoganda becomes more and more outrageous to deflect away from the of the ruling elite in any capacity to divide and rule the poor working class.

People buy into the benefit scrounger stuff, for a variety of different reasons.Ignorance, predudice, false class conciousness etc.

Oh do tell us what you did before and what you do now? Surgeon?

Do you think I can retrain to be a cleaner? Hmmm

Nothing wrong with being a domestic, my partner does it and loves it. well more where he works than the actual job probably. No experience or training and was 51 when he got it.
