Is there a parking forum?, have I transgressed?, do I warrant an invoice? :D:D:D

But seriously I didn't know there was a parking forum section thing, why that should be outside motoring is a mystery to be honest

You can ask mse to move it but meanwhile in the next week before it happens can anyone else apart from the 1 constructive poster advise?
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed

You have 7,600 posts and haven't noticed the sub forum at the top of this page (and on the main one) clearly labelled 'Parking'??
If you'd posted there you'd have had the same advice as has been given by peter, only quicker and probably with a bit more detail.
What if there was no such thing as a rhetorical question?

To make it easier to find other parking threads, clearly it failed.:rotfl::rotfl:

spot the contradiction:

I am absolutely certain to get flamed for telling the truth by the anti-PPC lobby here on MSE.

Most seem to have quietly ignored the fact that the law now says:
The creditor has the right to recover any unpaid parking charges from the keeper of the vehicle.
http://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/2012/9/schedule/4/enacted

Now; this is subject to a number of caveats and conditions, and only applies to parking charges (not penalties), and many companies will try to persuade you to pay using underhand tactics, but the landscape really is different now.

Any one who tells you that you can safely ignore a notice regarding parking charges from a landowner or their agent is not giving good advice.

But a landowner cannot impose a "penalty" charge for not parking within a box or any other rule-breaking. Only the parking charge is enforceable in law.

Except yoiu are not telling the truth - PPC's stock in trade is almost invariably fake penalties, not reasonable and justifiable charges, so in that respect, nothing has changed and it appears you recognise that!

Then you are very very wrong in your assumption, but thanks anyway. I knew there would be 1:A which is why I tried to let you pass if only you had really read my 1st post
I did read your first post.

Nothing in that changes the validity of my post.

Your daughter had no right to determine for herself whether she might be causing an obstruction.

Perhaps she is as blind to white lines as you are to the Parking sub forum. :D

I've moved this to the Parking sub-board :)

Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere (please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com.

But a landowner cannot impose a "penalty" charge for not parking within a box or any other rule-breaking. Only the parking charge is enforceable in law.

The only change is that the parking company can chase the RK of the vehicle, previously if you ignored the parking company they would chase the RK of the vehicle. So the change is that they do the same as before. That is a fundamental change.

And before offering advice try getting facts straight, for example a parking company without propriety rights to the car par park, cannot legally offer parking or take anyone to court (vcs v hmrc)

So it makes it a little difficult for the parking company, they as agents of the landowner has no rights under law to offer parking. The party to have a potential loss is the landowner, the party allowed to take a motorist to court is the landowner. It's a difficult for them to justify a £100 or so charge in a free car park.
When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.
