Didn't even think while I was writing......my eldest is 6'2", we're all tall so expecting the other one to be tall as well.

OH has said no to Citroen, said pedals are too close together. Went to look at a VW Caddy Passenger today but need to look at others mentioned as well.

Don't want to be a bore about it but I'm 6'3" and the Jazz gives me plenty of headroom. I'm recommending the Jazz if it's driver plus front passenger with dogs in the back - if carrying more than 2 people the Jazz loadspace would probably not be big enough for 2 dogs [depending upon their size] and you'd need an estate.

Skoda Octavia Estate, one of the most comfortable cars I've driven and I'm 6'5". We had one as a hire car a couple of years ago to drive up to Scotchland and I couldn't fault it. The MPG was good too and we didn't hang about.

I took a look at this, boot was massive. Kitted out with a tailgate guard and an interior guard behind the seats, that should minimise the headroom lost compared to a crate - this is what I've done in my car (decided not to go for an estate as I'd previously had a Micra so it was a big jump!) and it works well for my dogs (Rottie x and GSD so big, though not giant)

One (a bit cheeky since I wasn't likely to buy from them, but I did say we'd just nipped in as we were passing so they didn't waste too much time on us!) thing I did was go to a local Carcraft. They wanted far too much for the cars but at least they had a huge range of cars available to look at and were happy to leave OH and I wandering around opening cars, checking bootspace, etc. and giving suggestions when I explained that I needed it to fit two big dogs.

We buy with our dogs in mind too - we have a Golf Plus at the mo, lots of leg room for us and the dogs.

The other car we looked at was the Fabia estate but the Golf had more refinements.

We have a Renault Scenic, two decent sized dogs (greyhounds to give you an idea), a baby and my husband's 6 foot 7 - comfy interior room for the non-furry passengers and the boot fits the dogs fine.
