What's your budget?
Merc E-Class Estate has one of the biggest boots going and it'll waft a car full of adults about as well but without knowing what you want to spend it is tricky to recommend much I'm afraid. What if there was no such thing as a rhetorical question?0 -
Sorry, would spend up to £10,000 at a push but obviously cheaper if poss. would also like to get 35mpg at least0

Probably haggle to 8k and return 40mpg
Still, looking a bit older there. The other large estates will be the Volvos and maybe MondeosWhat if there was no such thing as a rhetorical question?0 -
Estates are unpopular, but I still think they give you the best of all worlds - decent to drive and roomy.
They've just become a bit lost as people get into the van type cars (like your old one) and MPV's and Mini MPV's, so estates are cheaper than you think.
The Mondeo is massive as is the Insignia Estate.
Infact, the last Mondeo was longer and wider than a 7 seater Renault Scenic!
You'll probably need to get a shortlist together, and give them a go, as manufacturers are making estates that taper down towards the back, so they can call them 'sport-back' or 'Sport-Wagon', and I don't like seeing dogs struggling for head height when they are sat up.
'int marketing great?0 -
I have 2 dogs (border collies) and bought a jag x type estate 2.0 diesel
Plenty of room for 2 dogs, decent rear leg room and lots of toys. Get 45 mpg + on a long run.Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0 -

Or buy a Mondeo estate for less money than the jag. Because thats all it is underneath.
My dad was surprised at the room in my Mondeo estate. Fits more in than his works Doblo van.
