One tip.... always get proof of postage when sending any documents to the DVLA! It available free from all post offices & is your trump card in any claim of failing to notify.

They send out letters to say that you are no longer the registered keeper, and that when i never got the letter I should of contacted them

Bluff and bluster. There is no requirement in law for you to do this.

I wonder if there's any scope for reclaiming these. Someone with more knowledge of these sort of things should investigate. :money:

Maybe the OP should just forward a copy of the letter he wrote dated one month after returning the notice of transfer. The one that reminded them that they have still not sent an acknowledgement of receiving it. The DVLA will no doubt be really keen to admit they have no record of either!
