damn thing crashed again - again whilst trying to post on here - i can't handle the crashes - so i guess i'll have to try and get another somehow/when
latest crash code:
0x0000008E (0xC0000005, 0x804E71D1, 0xEE2E25B0, 0x00000000)
many thanks for all your input - but as the machine has crashed twice since downloading that dss thing (as it rarely crashed whilst i was online before - usually, just when doing a scan) i think i had better remove it
i don't want the machine to go completely t!ts upsaving money by growing my own - much of which gets drunk

DDS is a non-invasive diagnostic tool. It makes no registry writes/changes & does not create any permanent files/folders.
DDS has absolutely nothing to do with the crashes.0 -
thanks for the reassurance on dss - i was getting frustrated last night with the number of crashes - maybe my pc doesn't like me talking about it on mse

i didn't bin the dss logs - but i still feel unsure about posting them on an open forum - would one of you lovely tech-wise people be kind enough to look at the logs via a pm - pleasesaving money by growing my own - much of which gets drunk

Do this:
- Click Start > My Computer
- Right click Local Disk (C:) > Choose Properties
- Click the Tools tab
- Under Error-Checking click Check Now...
- For Check disk options Check (Tick):
Automatically fix file system errors
Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors- Click Start
- Click Yes to the prompt

No problem. Let us know when it's completed.0

yep - that took ages - but it's done - it said it was clean
it hasn't stopped the crashing though - as it crashed as soon as i tried to go online for the first time - it had slightly different wording in the text on the blue screen and the code numbers at the bottom had changed - but i didn't make a note of them :mad:saving money by growing my own - much of which gets drunk
