    Happy new year everyone.

    That's an impressive goal, kobrakai!

I got accepted to Textbroker a couple of days ago - there are no three star articles available at the moment, but I'll be checking in every morning and evening. I'm hopeful that a good portion of my extra income will come from there because I hate doing surveys.

Haha, thanks! I just hope I'm able to do it!

Forgot to add to my last post, I'll submit a monthly total for the spreadsheet. I've just requested to join the Facebook group.

Hi peatles, I just went through the money makeover section and really cut back and used ALL the ways on that guide and watch the money roll in. But two tax refunds were a mega surprise . So cutting back from spending nowt is not going to be as lucrative lol. But present cupboard being filled for the year from the sales for peanuts again, and my best thing last year was actually piling every toiletry in the house onto a shelf and using them. We only bought toothpaste and toilet roll all year!

    Good luck everyone
  • Hi Everybody - Happy New Year to you all

Yesterday I solf five things on ebay which have all been posted now. I have set up a spread sheet to workout the amount I have actually earned from each item after fees and postage.

The actual amount made from unused item was £35.67 so I have started.

    Take care

Well done on the ebaying. I have a pile of things in the spare bedroom waiting to be listed. I WILL start them this weekend.

I'm not off to a great start. I feel like I have just been turned down for every survey in existence. I really do wonder whether they are worth it.
Redundancy isn't fun - comping is!

Having a really slow couple of days on the earning sites I use. Staying motivated though, put an extra few pounds in my saver challenge pot so I'm trying to balance it all & stay motivated!

Hello and Happy (slightly belated) New Year!

So far, I have saved £24 which was left over from last week's weekly budget and a massive 4p on Mr A's price guarantee. Still, look after the pennies...

Can I join too please? The earning one and I will add to the spreadsheet.

I've just totted up and in the last two months (e.g. since I started reading this forum). I've made £674.43; between eBay, switching my bank account, using the Confused.com app and cashback rewards.

The problem is I've now done all the easy stuff, flogged all the good stuff and am planning on cutting back on my spending so there won't be much cashback!

Because of where I live I can't do mystery shopping and I've yet to be eligible for a survey so I'm looking forward to getting some new ideas for how to earn extra in 2013 :)

    Happy New Year everyone!

Edit: I'm going to count loyalty points / cashback when I cash them in rather than when I earn them, so I have some points already (technically not earned in 2013) but equally I'm sure there will be some left over at the end of the year unclaimed (which therefore won't be counted). Otherwise I psychologically end up counting the "saving" twice - e.g. I mentally reduce the original price when I purchase by whatever the points / cashback I'll earn will be ("I'll use my Boots Advantage Card so that's like 4% off") and then when I spend the points / cashback I consider it to be "free money" so buy stuff I never would normally. I have to stop this, so from now on I'm only going to count the "earning" when I cash in! Hope that's ok.
  • Hi Everyone and Happy New Year!

Please can I join too? This thread is really motivating and as I'll be going on maternity leave in March and we will be moving to 1 income I could do with the kick start!

Please put me down to earn the £2013 - I will not be counting savings as I'll already be saving money by not commuting and buying lunches etc.

Many thanks and good luck to everyone!
  • I need to sort my bedroom out (new bed coming in a couple of weeks) so no doubt will have loads to eBay!

Got some stuff for music magpie too. That should give me a good start :-)
