Its been scaled down now, only earth will explode, the rest of the solar systems will survive and hey, you still need banks in space, right? Halifax are opening the first one on the international space station right now so that the space station canteen can take contactless payments.

Has anyone seen any specific reference to the BoS Reward account regarding such a change?

I posted a similar question earlier on in the thread as I too have a BOS branded reward account. I've finally had time to trawl through their website and found the updated terms and conditions Nov 2012. Doesn't look like they've changed the requirement for BOS reward accounts

I think I will just keep shuffling the 1k around the 6 accounts as usual and see if/when the £5 stop appearing.

If their new rules regarding the DD are correct they are going to find a lot of people closing their accounts.

Thanks Huw01, I too have a BOS reward account, a bit concerned myself if BOS change their conditions. If they do, just have to live with i suppose

Good think of all those extra £5s the bank will be better off by! But being serious why just not transfer some or all your direct debits across, the bank will do it for you. Or does the existing bank offer better incentives?

Which is obviously their intention. Shuffling your £1k around 6 accounts isn't likely to be very profitable for them.

They may simply be later in informing of the new T&Cs as they only need to provide 2 months notice. Certainly BOS already followed Halifax in altering the overdraft structure.

Currently with the Nationwide so there is no real incentive to keep the DD with them.

If Halifax do the £100 switching incentive again at the beginning of next year as is rumoured then I will consider splitting existing DD across the accounts.

They are but you won't get the £100 as you already bank with them :rotfl:

Nah, I really don't think they will
