The answer to this is that the advisory letters are sent separate from statements and they are still arriving. Mine arrived only yesterday. My mum and sister have not had a letter as yet.0

Just off the phone to Halifax. The guy (after a lot of asking around) said that the £750 could come from just a transfer. I am not keen on setting up any more DDs so he said I could swap a couple of my existing ones by writing to my current bank (BOS) and they would switch it for me. Will swap the two smallest DDs (TV licence and swimming membership). Not a lot of hassle to keep the fivers.
Thanks to all the helpers on this thread0 -
As a BOS Rewards Account holder, am I now exempt from opening one of these accounts? I can only see that it's not valid for existing Halifax customers! I was planning to use the switching service (from a Santander account with 2 DDs) to get the bonus plus the extra £5 each month.0

Nor do I.
Did it come with a statement or separate ?
Separate, 3 accounts 3 separate envelopes, main account letter stated I was already using account as main account, but the other 2 said I wasn't and to "please take time to read this letter in full".

Only if you allow it, I have mine setup for the minimum payment (£5) and just leave the card in debit for a few pounds each month. So I'm always in credit by the due date.0

I doubt a credit card firm will accept a DD instruction for less than the minimum monthly amount. You definitely can give them only 1 DD instruction per card, too.0

Thanks. Didn't think so really.
Savings accounts and charities seem the way to go here.
Plenty to go at thanks to Innovate's other thread. Ta.0 -
