Well, after our long trip home yesterday I'm absolutely shattered. I have however, written a meal plan for the week and gone shopping. I have a weekly grocery spend of £30 and I have £2.50 left for this week :D

My meal plan for this week is

Breakfasts: Cereal, toast, fruit, yogurts, pancakes.

Lunches: Sandwiches, beans on toast, fruit, yogurt and HM cake.

    Dinners:

    Beef stew & dumplings.
Sweet & sour turkey with rice.
    Sausage casserole and mash.
    Pizza, chips and beans.
Chinese pork chops, mash and veg.
    Soup and rolls.
    Fish pie and steamed veg.

I also have puddings planned as rice pudding and pear crumble :D.

I shouldn't need to put petrol in the car as there is still half a tank left from our holiday :T

I've also managed to sign up for the National Art Pass through the Telegraph so am hoping for the next 3 months we can entertain ourselves for free :money:

I'm also decluttering alot this weekend so hopefully a NSD tomorrow. Might do some baking with DS tomorrow as DH is taking a ride on his motorbike. Gonna try and find something to do on Monday for free as a family so hoping for good weather.

The only negative I've had today is I'm locked out of my barclays mobile banking. I went into the bank today to close my old overdraft account and also checked that I was still registered. The lady said it was still working fine even though I couldn't use the online banking. When I got home I was locked out of both so need to ring an 0845 number to sort it out

Well I had a very productive day yesterday and cleared the clutter from the lounge & play room. Just a few minor things to sort out and then I'll give it a good dust and hoover :rotfl:

Family plans for today are to go to Walton Gardens near Warrington. It'll cost us £3.20 for parking but then all the attractions are free except for crazy golf. Gonna take a picnic too so hoping it'll brighten up soon.

I have joined the NSK challenge so have settled on my monthly budgets. I think having to check in everyday and keep track of the entertainment/ other spends will help alot this month.

    Food £27.50/£120
    Entertainment £0/£81.20
    Birthdays £0/£5
    Petrol £0/£30
    Planned other spends £0/£60

I have BIL's birthday this month as well as Dads but I've already bought Dad's presents while on holiday. Will need to buy lunch on Saturday as all the family are meeting up for a carvery for Dad's lunch. This will come out of the planned spends as well as Dh's train ticket to Sheffield to watch the snooker. That's not till the end of the month but need to plan it now as it's before pay day.

Hope everyone has a nice Easter Monday :j

Well we didn't spend as long at Walton Gardens as planned as we left late and it was freezing cold :(. I did take a flask though so that kept me warm :D

We also met my Auntie & Uncle there for a quick chat which was nice. My Auntie told me of a nearby charity gardens where I can buy plants and seeds really cheap so gonna look into that.

I also finished clearing the living room & play room except for the shelf above the desk. That may need a whole afternoon to itself :rotfl:

Managed my first SFD which I'm glad about. DH asked if I would go round the corner to get some ginger beer as it's on offer. I said maybe during the week if I have the cash which is great as I would normally have said yes. Entertainment budget is also still intact which is great :T:T:T

I think we may have an indoor day tomorrow so will do some baking & painting with DS, hopefully not at the same time :rotfl:Also gonna get some more decluttering done & will have soup and rolls for tea as DS is at ILs

    Good morning diary,

I thought I would write a list of things I need to do again today as it's quite motivation.

    * Post DH's application form for 3D champs.
    * Make cornflake nests with DS by melting one of his easter eggs.
    * Empty penny jar and bag up as much as I can for extra CC payment.
    * Have half an hour decluttering kitchen.
    * Hoover out car.
    * Put excess recycling in car so I can get rid of it tonight after weight watchers.
    * Craft club at church at 2pm so remember my knitting.
    * Call Barclays about online banking.

I think that should keep me busy today. I should only need to put 50p in the pot for craft club donation so an almost SFD.

    Evening diary,

Well I seemed to get most things done that I had planned which is good for me.

Tomorrow I have to spend £4 on parking at the hospital as we have our 20 week scan in the morning :j:j:j

My other spend for tomorrow is the monthly pass for the play barn. That'll be coming out of the entertainment budget which is fine.

I managed to find a ecofriendly cleaning book at the church bric-a-brac table for 50p so have bought that. It had lots of recipes for all sorts of cleaners and beauty products so took it as an investment. I'm hoping my Auntie can recommend somewhere I can buy essential oils from cheap.

I've also saved money on MIL & mine's mother's day present. We were planning on both getting or nails done but where she goes cost £40 :eek::eek:. MIL has decided she will have a pedicure instead and I have checked out our local college's beauty school prices. £6 for a luxury pedicure and £10 for acrylic nails. That is definitely better than £80 especially as I'd only budgeted £50 :money:

Will be back on tomorrow at some point to announce what flavour we are expecting

Thanks Lurvlyloz. I didn't know that so might do my shopping at tesco this week.

Still not 100% sure if its a boy or girl but they thought it was a girl. Gotta go back in 2 weeks as they didnt get to see the heart as detailed as they would have liked. Hopefully will get confirmation on gender then as well.

Yes everything else is fine. The heart is probably fine too but as they couldn't look at parts of it properly they can't confirm it..

Baby has been kicking like mad since poor thing. All that poking a rolling around needed.

How are you Lurvlyloz? Isn't you're scan 22nd April?

Spends for today so far are

    * £3 for hospital parking but thought it ws £4 so saved £1 :j
    * Managed to find the £2 for the scan pic out of the penny pot.
    * £1.89 for milk and 2 bottles of ginger beer from the local shop. Ginger bee wasn't necessary though but I only need bread until Saturday so it was fine :D

Off to the play barn now which will cost me £16 out of the entertainment budget but that will cover a monthly pass which should be well used during the holidays :j

Dinner is pizza, chips and beans from the freezer. Feeling lazy today :D

Gonna try and get some more knitting done while we're at the play barn. Might make some baby socks as I have some neutral wool :D
