    [STRIKE]*Put mince in slow cooker this morning for dinner tonight. It'll save me time
    later.[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]*Look round charity shops for some more trousers for DS.[/STRIKE] Didn't manage to find any trousers but managed to find a nice top for 75p in the next size up.
    [STRIKE]*Make sandwiches etc for lunch instead of going to the bakers after playgroup
    with DSis.[/STRIKE] DSis treated us to lunch which was much appreciated as I normally sort lunch out for us on a Monday.
    [STRIKE]*Try and find the cheapest place to buy food recycling bin bags from.[/STRIKE] 99p from Quality Save compared to £2.20 at Sainsburys:money:
    [STRIKE]*Check with DH later to see if he has received an email from MBNA about our new

    Will write out my plans for tomorrow in the morning. Monday is a bit of a busy day :rotfl::rotfl:

    Morning diary. My plans for today are as follows:

    * MIL's HM Chilli and Naan Bread for tea.
    * NSD hopefully :D
    * Volunteering at a different local foodbank as they are short staffed.
    * DS at preschool this afternoon
    * Take puff pastry out of the freezer so I can make cheese & onion pasties tomorrow. MIL gave me a bag of onions at the weekend.
    * Check bank accounts
    * Write list of things to pack for holiday and start collecting small portions of tea bags, sugar etc.
    * Local craft club after foodbank so won't be entirely a NSD but will put some pennies in for the tea & biscuits
    * Collect some fabric together for Tiddlywinks club tomorrow & find pinking shears.

    I think that will keep me busy today lol. I'm hoping I can keep this posting going as it's quite motivating having written it all down. Hopefully today DS won't have a bump and scare mummy half to death. He fell off the slide at playgroup yesterday and bumped his head quite bad but it didn't come up in a lump thankfully.

    Have a good day everyone :D

    Managed to have a bit of a panic about money this afternoon. I have £180 in the joint account to last until next Thursday and I am going out to dinner on Friday. As we are on holiday from Monday and will be living off our holiday savings it shouldn't be that bad I'm hoping. I have just googled the gastro pub we are going to and I can get a decent main meal for under a tenner. With a couple of non-alcoholic drinks as well I'm sure I can hope home with change from £20

    Plans for tomorrow are as follows.

    * Must write a list of things to pack for holiday
    * Pay a £1 for Tiddlywinks club but that should be all I need to spend.
    * Help DS with his reading homework and complete claim form for his extra hours at preschool after Easter.
    * Sweet & sour turkey and rice for tea out of stores.

    Thanks Beanielou. It's now down to £166 but I've been rounded the account off into our holiday fund every chance I get. I've also had to buy cough medicine for DS and cordial too.

    I received a lovely present from my Gran yesterday. A cheque for £50 for us to enjoy our holiday and treat DS. She's so lovely and I told her that last night when I rang. Hopefully we will have some spending money left from our holiday which can go into a savings account or debt repayment. I also took the cheque straight to the bank yesterday which is not normal for me. I normally keep it in my purse for days but it's all done now and the bank have instantly cleared it for me too :j

    We haven't heard from the MBNA credit card yet but hopefully should hear something soon. I'm wondering when this is sorted if I should pay off the credit cards in 12 months as previously mentioned or take a bit longer and try and save as well. What does everybody else do?? When baby no 2 arrives I want to have a good enough stock of nappies, wipes etc as well as clothes. I would love to put some money aside so we can do up the house.

    I also need to organise a repayment mortgage after the Easter break as well. I'm hoping we can get the payments to around £500 but then may have to rejig the debt repayments. I'm giving myself a headache now so best get ourselves ready for preschool and then I'm tackling the car when I get back. Needs a good clean before we go away

    Thanks Lurvlyloz. I definitely need to start saving. I do have an account at the building society for DS. It is aimed at school activities, sports activities and uniforms for when he's older.

    I will definitely have to sit down once we are back from holiday and write down a complete budget including savings and debt repayments.

    Okay, today has definitely not been a NSD but I have a good reason. I bought some trousers from a charity shop for DS for £2.49 and some milk and chocolate from supermarket. Also bought some craft items for a friend but she will pay me back tomorrow hopefully.

    When DH came home he told me he had been hit on the head by an unknown object while riding his motorbike home on the motorway. So entailed a long wait at the infirmary and a chinese takeaway as requested by DH. He's feeling better now so hopefully he'll be better by tomorrow.

    My dinner out tomorrow has been postponed until after Easter so I suppose it evens out. I did manage to clean out the car today which is one good thing. I'm planning on writing a shopping list and meal plan for our holiday and go shopping is DS behaves himself lol.

    I found in the charity shop some lovely prams which they were selling for only £60. I'm debating whether to buy a second hand pram that would suit my lifestyle rather than take my sister's pram which I don't particularly like. Will have to wait and see.

    Well, what a morning!! It's a snow blizzard outside and DS's cough has got worse so we aren't going to play group this morning. DH has taken the car this morning due to the snow so I can't do the shopping today either. Oh well, here are my plans for today

    * Have a shower and get us both dressed.
    * Write a shopping list and meal plan for next week.
    * Write a list for packing which I WILL start this afternoon.
    * Keep up with the housework. I hate going away with an untidy house to get home to.
    * Research somewhere I can buy a new set of hat, gloves and scarf for DS and possibly me too.
    * Make fish pie for tea from the freezer.
    * Check bank accounts.

    When I checked my bank accounts I noticed that the interest payment for my overdraft has gone out today so have transferred £13.04 from the joint account. I want to keep it at -£953.77 so that when the new credit card transfers the money over, I'll just have to close the account :jBecause of this the joint account is currently at £147.59 which is still great :j

    Have written my menu plan out for next week and have decided we can eat out for lunch 4 times and dinner out once. Two of the lunches out will be when we are staying at the hotel in Castle Douglas so really have to do something even if it's visiting Tesco's sandwich dept lol. Have written a shopping list but there isn't alot on it thankfully. Will go onto Tesco's website next and work out how much it'll be. If it's not alot I may take the money out the joint account instead of the holiday fund. It looks like I'll still have over £100 left in it before pay day which is amazing :D.

    Think I might make some cakes this afternoon for our holiday. I'm sure I can freeze them until we leave. My Aunt brought me over a gluten free cake mix which I will try as well as lots of clothes that would fit me while I'm pregnant :money:which will save me buying anymore expensive maternity clothes.
