Problem With ParcelForce and a Neighbour?!

Bit of a strange one. We had a note pushed through the door yesterday from Parcelforce advising that they'd left a parcel with a neighbour. Unfortunately I know this neighbour through a friend, and what I know about her isn't great.
We went round twice last night, on both occasions we heard them moving around inside, and the TV volume was muted, but they ignored the door. I've just knocked again, same thing. I know she's in, I watched various lights go on and off. The parcel contains Christmas gifts for us and several family members, and has a fair value to it. What can we do??!

If they won't answer the door, there is not much you can do, other than put a note through their letterbox?"You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0

Perhaps, they won't answer the door after dark. Try during daylight.0

As OP posted at 11.20am I think its reasonable to assume she's tried in daylight.......
OP perhaps push a note through as suggested, something along the lines of "thank you for accepting my parcel on my behalf. The Postie has pushed the proof of delivery to your house through my door so if you could perhaps drop it off or let me know when is convenient to collect". Add a phone number as well.
If that fails I think I'd be looking for my local PSCO to give me a hand.0 -

I don't think we'll get it back to be honest. Will try again later when I get home, and will push a note through the door basically saying @I know you have my parcel...' and see what happens.
It's soooo annoying though. Of all the people in the street, it had to be THAT house! Grrrrrr! :mad:0 -

Law of sod hun. Like I say I'd certainly get the local PSCO involved if you still have no luck.0 -

Will we have a specific PCOS for our area? How do I find out who it is?0 -

I imagine if you use the non emergency 101 number they can tell you who your local area PSCO is, or there are usually posters in your local community center/library etc. Exhaust all other possibilites first though, pop the letter through, give them over the weekend and if you still have no luck then try that.
From experience its things like this which PSCO's can excel at, sorting out neighbour issues seems to be high on their remit0 -
OP, they cant lock themselves indoors forever, at some point they will have to venture out. Assuming you can see their property from your house, I would wait until they open their door and pounce.
If they deny any parcel, technically you have not received said item and it would be upto the supplier to chase delivery up whilst replacing the items for you.:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A

I think they use the back door, as I NEVER see them, apart from when someone knocks on the door. Even then, they are sellective about who they answer to.
I'm still grrrrr about it!:mad:0
