For the price we have to pay over here they certainly shouldn't be getting weaker in smell, think I'll wait until I go the the States and for just over $10 a large jar I don't mind them not being as strong as they used to be, but not for almost £20!0

I'm only a recent starter on Yankee products and have been put off buying jars by what people have been saying about the quality (or lack of).
I just use tarts at the moment as there seem to be more smell from them.
What are the village candles like, Abbafan? My local Hallmark has started selling them and the shop assistant spoke very highly of them?0 -
I dont know if anyone here has heard or used Kringle Candles , but they are made by one of the guys that started Yankee Candles and i have to say they are fab and in many instances i find them better.

I have a few Kringle and have to say that I'm on the fence about them.
I think their fragrance is strong, which is great, but the ones I have tried seem to smell very similar, except Gingerbread which I adore and have about 5 large ones in my candle cupboard! I love the clean look of them over YC0 -

Could you email them and ask for a local stockist?
I have only bought online but have noticed them in a local independent gift shop recently.0 -

Sorry for not getting back to you on this. Village candles come highly recommended, I have only just started on them and have a large frozen margerita (similar to Yankee Margarita time) and a Pure linen (similar to Yankee clean cotton) which I got from the co-op for £9.99.
The standard prices of the jar are as follows:- large £17.99, med £13.99 and small £9.99. All of the village jars are bigger than their Yankee counterparts. The other difference is they have 2 wicks and apparently don't tunnel.
There are lots of sellers on Ebay, but if you're local I know of a stockist near to me, she does post out though. I will pm you details, as I'm not sure if I'm allowed to promote here (I am not affiliated with her business in anyway). She is very knowledgeable.Striving to clear the mortgage before it finishes in Dec 2028 - amount currently owed - £26,322.670 -

I haven't tried woodwick, I know people have been raving about them. With Yankee and Village you can't burn the last bit of wax in the jar, but you can break it up and use it in a melt warmer, so it doesn't get wasted.Striving to clear the mortgage before it finishes in Dec 2028 - amount currently owed - £26,322.670
